    Start of the international rugby match between Ireland and France. GV. Play after Ireland having kicked off from left to right. The French have a double coloured stockings and lighter shirts then the Irish. Play during this scene went into the Irish half and is now being kicked from Irish half back to French half. SV. Irishman with ball, and he kicks it up-field. LV. Ball in the centre of the field and a French player Jean Dupy grabs it and wards off two Irishmen and then Henderson, and starts to dash up-field with the ball. He passes and tries to get it back to him. The ball is intercepted and everybody charges in. Frenchman comes out with ball and a series of close passing goes on - the ball goes loose. SV. Crowd. GV. The French being awarded the penalty. Vannier kicks the ball and it goes between the posts to put France three up. LV. Scoreboard - France 3, Ireland 0. GV. Mass of players in midfield in scrum. Frenchman gets the ball out and passes it to Haget. Haget tries to get through but is brought down by Kavanagh and the ball is passed out from the mass of players. Dupy and Tony O'Reilly both go for it and fall over each other and a Frenchman grabs the loose ball - Dufau comes forward but his pass to another Frenchman, Vannier, is not held and the ball goes into touch. SCU. Crowd. SV. O'Reilly throwing ball in. Players receive it in line out and an all round 'push and shove' follows. The ball comes out, Wood grabs it, but he is descended upon and ball goes loose. Mulligan kicks it up and passes it. LV. Kyle with the ball, he escapes Baulon in tackle, runs on and passes it. SV. Pedlow grabs ball, starts to run. André Boniface pulls him down and the ball had disappeared in skirmish of players. LV. Massed crowd. LV. Ireland having been awarded penalty. Pedlow runs and kicks, ball between posts - Score 3-3. GV. Massed crowd cheering. SCU. Referee running with players watching ball go past into French half. LV. Irishman chases after ball that was going between posts and falls on it. His name is Brophy, and he is being hotly pursued by two Frenchmen. Ireland have scored a try, pan to cheering crowd.
    LV. As Pedlow converts just in front of the posts. Ball between posts. Ireland 8, France 3. Pan back to players running back. LV. Scoreboard - France 3, Ireland 8. Half time. LV. Play. Skirmish in French half - an Irishman gets it out and passes to another Irishman who receives and passes to Kyle. He is tackled by Pedlow who tries to grab the ball but manages to get it away. A Frenchman grabs it and is set upon by Irishman Henderson. The players mass around. CU. Players in skirmish. GV. Kyle receives ball and starts the run but he is pulled down by Kavanagh as they get near the French line. GV. Crowd cheering. LV. Play in the French half. Kyle has the ball and he tries to break through, but he is brought down and the ball goes loose. Prat picks it up and tries to turn round to get through but is heavily tackled by Pedlow. They both fall to the ground, and the ball is loose. SCU. Referee running along with players. CU. Irish players try to get away with ball. Irishman passes to Kyle and he kicks up-field. LV. Pedlow running with the ball, passes to Henderson who runs on, but is pulled down. The pass goes to another Irishman who escapes the Frenchman and runs towards middle but he is pulled down and the ball goes to Reid. SCU. Referee running towards play. SCU. Frenchman Haget starting to make round. The one in possession passes, he is brought down by Pedlow. Boniface receives and starts to run up-field. GV. Massed crowd. LV. France having been awarded penalty. Vannier kicks. It is under the posts, the ball between. Final score Ireland 11 - France 6.
