John Pullin, RIP. One of the 'greats' that I grew up with as an avid supporter of IRELAND.
An England player that thoroughly deserves teh plaudits from across the rugby fraternity.
A splendid example of why 'respect' is such an inmportant elemnt of our sport.

RIP John Pullin. That lovely west country accent. What a gent. We'll always have a tough match with the Irish but a pint afterwards whether rugby, football or whatever.

Pullin captained England to victories over the Boks 1972 and ABs 1973 on their home soils. Was hooker for the Lions series win against the ABs 1971 and just missed playing the Lions winning series win against the Boks in 1974.

Why any Irishman would have a Sir in front of his name is beyond me.
