Really nice signings. My wish list for the January window is Zaha, Everton, Upamecano, and a solid defensive midfielder. With those we can be challenging for the league title. Everyone is already giving Man City the title before the season even starts but I personally think that this season wouldn't be like the last. It's not going to be a cake walk for Man City nor Liverpool. Neither of them are going to pull away from the pack like they did last season. Mark my word! Like if you agree.

I will give Arsenal's window a rating of 8.5 as they have sorted more than I expected, to make our squad look better than last year spending under £50mil in total is excellent work by the men involved, and if we can obtain top 4 this season, I can see us taking the next stride forward towards being challengers once again

Yeah I agree with the 7.5, it’s been a good last couple weeks of the window. But it could always be better, if loans were made permanent and a couple more dead weights left too. Overall I’m excited lol

Burn the dead wood and get scouts in place to get the youngsters across the globe here. Upamecano bought for under 10m and now worth around the 80m mark. Let's keep the academy pumping out quality and get us back in the Champions League asap. I agree, much more to do but it's finally a step out the right direction! 7.5/10 a fair assessment!
Forget about Upamecano, now that we've got the Brazilian Mustafi in to hold the fort, Saliba will be our top CB.
I disagree a little bit with the Koscielny being a better defender than Luiz. Koscielny loses his man alot and aerially was very poor. Koscielny was good but he was never that step above for some reason. Him and Per had that good partnership that one year but that was as good as it got. I'm not saying Luiz is world class but he's a top defender and that is something Koscielny hasn't really been.

First of all i'm happy with our late transfer activity this summer and i hope it will be enough to atleast guarantee us a top 4 finish this season. However, i still think we are short of having an additional tricky winger after the recruitment of pepe. I would like the arsenal squad has this time both in quantity and quality the same versatile and creative wingers that man city has got like bernando silva, ryad mahrez, raheem sterling and leroy sane to completely turn a title winning team. Anyway, i believe that we have done a quite good transfer business this summer and i leave other weakness of the squad to be properly adressed in the coming january transfer window of this year and next year.

8/10 for the window, would have loved to get more out (Mustafi, Mikhi, Ozil, Xhaka, Mavropanos) but all things considered very happy and positive for the first time in years.
Well after the window has closed i give it a 10/ 8 .
We needed a winger and boy got one!.
We needed Ramsey replacement and got that more then sorted! Now the defence😮.
This where iam a bit sceptical! No rb very disappointed that this wasnt sorted and niles still has to play in his unnatural position.

Team for Sunday basically as last season apart from possibly Ceballos playing ! Not really a great start despite all the signings .
I'm still a bit pissed Saliba is going back on loan and we needed another CB other than that I was more than happy with our business
The club was unwilling to sell without that loan move... There was nothing we could do... Plus I think it's better for the player as well because he will get another full season of first team experience (keeping him away from mustafi is a good idea.. I don't want saliba to learn anything from him).. So in the end the loan could work in our favor... Because you can't expect an 18 year old to come in n just tear up the epl, plus with our fan base, he would come under a lot of scrutiny.. So this way we'll get a better player next season

Yes we did have a very very good transfer window, not perfect, but better than expected. AND IT HASNT FINISHED.. There is still time to get rid of some dead wood (Elneny)......but maybe now, with the sale of Iwobi, we should keep Miki, and maybe with Kos going and injuries, we even need to keep the clown Mustafi. But that isnt all....we can still bring in free agents, and I recommend that we bring in Ignazio Abate. He was released by AC Milan, is 32, an ex Italian international. He can play RB whilst Bellerin is recovering, provide cover at RB and also play CB. He would be an excellent free IMO. I also feel this has been an excellent window for us because of what happened at Man Utd and Chelsea. Chelsea couldnt make any signings. They are light up front and light in defence (the Luiz signing was a double whammy for us as it strengthened us and weakened them).....I think we should pip them to the top 4. And whilst Man U have strengthened in defence, they have lost Lukaku and not replaced him, and havent strengthened in MF.....because of that I am hopeful of beating them to the top 4. When i find myself wavering on this, I remind myself that they have OGS as their manager, and that makes me feel better. On top of this, just when I was beginning to worry about Everton, they fail to bring in a replacement for Zouma and then, instead of signing Zaha, who would have worried me, instead give us £35m for Iwobi, who, whilst a tryer, lacked a final ball and goals.....I was glad to get that money from him. I would have preferred to have sold Miki, and got his huge wages off of our back, maybe used that money to strengthen in January....but (as you say)..is it what is !!!!
Ain't gonna lie but for me the window is just a 6 so far (may rise to an 8 depending on who we can still sell), it was first and foremost always about clearing out all the Wenger shit or as much as possible- And who did we clear out- Iwobi who was far from our biggest problem, but I realise no one should be untouchable after last seasons debacle.
Forget about Tierney the guy is already injured and will probably not play till Christmas, I fear he will be another permacrock.
As for side show Bob I always regarded him as the Brazilian Mustafi and of course no Saliba yet but he will be our "top CB" when we eventually get him but I've put my Kroenkes out poison pen away just for the time being.
Tierny will be fit and playing in a month... And we have actually already moved out a lot of deadwood (cech, litch, wellbeck, takumo asano, ospina, jenko, koscielny, got good deals for Thompson, ameichi, iwobi) and emery himself said that we are still actively trying to get rid of some players (I'm thinking mustafi and Miki).. I think they tried everything they can to move on ozil but I don't blame them for that not happening because no one would pay 350k for him(kinda like how real is stuck with bale)... The only out going that I've truly been disappointed with is ramsey because he's a valuable player( but can't blame the current regime for that one because it was the previous regime that let it come to that)

We won't. Well finish third though and I'll be quite happy with that... for now. Not next season but the season after next season is when I reckon we should start to consistently challenge for the league

Tbh koscielny and Luiz is at a similar level defensively... But in terms of overall Game play, Luiz is way better... Koscielny is good but not unbelievably good.. He was prone to mistakes and bad positioning but usually his pace covered his mistakes most of the times but sometimes it was clear to see his flaws... Getting older his pace won't cover him anymore

Now with 'Defensive Security' we can sit back & HOPE that we STILL actively look to Move on More DEADWOOD, & Erroneous Players, Musti, Xhaka, Ozil not error Prone like those Clowns, but he doesn't fit the modern system or Emery's Hard working Pressing high intensity system, so in January hopefully we can move on Ozil & get a Harder working Body in, or just use the Multitude of talented youth that are ready, JOE WILLOCK, EMILLE SMITH ROWE, RIESS NELSON...ETC.
Ozil and xhaka will be here till next summer... It's not easy to move them on... But we can hope to see Miki and mustafi go this month itself... As well as hope we keep this going by dumping ozil and xhaka as well as buying smart again

Backup was a loan for rugani so that we can save money and go back in for our main cb target next window... But juventus wanted an obligation to buy for huge money.. So instead we went for Luiz as a stop gap.. He's experienced, suits our style of play and is definitely better than what we have... So that's not panic... I think it's so that we can buy the right long term solution next window... I think we would've bought upemacano if we had gotten the iwobi offer earlier in the window

With edu, raul, vinai behind the scenes, our business has been conducted really well since they've come in... N i only expect it to get better with the addition of edu...
