Just to see if it would work, we made these with left over Thanksgiving stuff. Small pieces of turkey, dressing and peas added to the cream cheese. We used swiss cheese and plopped on some cranberry sauce. Rolled it up and cooked. Did it work? It was the best food of the holiday weekend at the cabin. This year the family want to forget the traditional spread and just do these. Um, Okay!!

I grew up in the country and many times ate wild green onions from the yards AND we always had a big garden. My job before meals was to get green onions and radishes from the garden for my Daddy. Cleaned and in a juice glass of ice water next to his plate. I sure miss those days.

I make a cream cheese sausage crescent roll recipe that is similar except that I fill and seal each triangle into little pillows or buns. I like wetting the tops and sprinkling with Everything Bagel Seasoning for even more flavor! But today I’m going your route with the lunch meat and slicing the pinwheels. I might even make it cordon bleu style because I have 1/3c finely diced leftover chicken in the fridge. So over the cream cheese I’ll layer ham, diced chicken and Swiss cheese slices. Mmm!! Can’t wait!
