  • Dr. Michel Pontari said ” One of the biggest advances in the past ten years is the use of pelvic floor physical therapy… it not only helps pelvic pain but ejaculatory and testicular dysfunction.”
The American Urological Association annual meeting is often the highlight of the year for researchers and clinicians working with interstitial cystitis. This year the conversations/lectures/research focused to a great degree on pelvic pain syndrome. One highlight was Drs. J. Curtis Nickel, Dan Shoskes and Michel Pontari who presented the cases of two men struggling with pelvic pain.

I have cpps. Physiotherapy was extremely helpful. Also i found that a low acid bladder pain diet was helpful: no citrus, carbonated beverage, spicy food or alcohol.

look for a physiotherapist that specifically treats pelvic issues. Do pelvic PT for as many sessions it takes to get relief. It took me 20 sessions and then diet took away the remaining burning.

Many thanks for the session god bless you all , I’m currently having CPPS and I agree that some urologist should not be afraid when they have a CPPS patient. They should help him instead of saying I do not know what to do for you.

Man, I've been seeing a urologist for more than a year now and I have been complaining of intense urethral pain and perineum pain. I've had none of these tests done on me!! Time for a new urologist.

That’s interesting that they specify the epididymus pain of the RIGHT testicle. I also have a tender epididymus on the right testicle, I actually developed a benign cyst that the doctors said would not go away, but it did. Or, it shrank to a negligible size that I cannot detect.

Look up pelvic floor release or exercises, you have to get up and move around. Don’t sit for long periods of time, do stretches and try to control your stress levels. Good luck

Do some CPPS stretches. That can definitely be a sign that your pelvic floor need some release.
