So you want to get a company to sponsor your build? I hope you have something to offer them! The biggest thing that was stopping me from getting even a small sponsorship was the lack of content and reach. Sure, it took a while but it wasnt easy. It usually isnt and probably wont be easy for you either! Those of you who have asked how these sponsors have come about, this video is for you. Its not to discourage you but to help you see what happened to me and to learn. If you take away just 1 thing from this video, let it be that you cant get something for nothing. Keep working hard and eventually youll get there too! I still have so much to learn but i dont mind sharing my knowledge with all of you!

I appreciate that. Everyone wants to have sponsors but it's a pretty big responsibility to keep everyone happy. When I finished the video I realized I left a point out. I wanted to mention the diplomacy involved when a company sponsors you/sends you parts but then are involved in controversy. It's a difficult spot to be in.
I spent more money then I care to admit on an ottocast box. I didn’t do it for wireless CarPlay I did it because it had an hdmi input. I connect my fire stick to it and connect firestick to my phones hot spot. Anyways I can now use my vpn, a third party apps linked to real debrid and I can watch any movie, tv show or live ufc fight on my cars Apple CarPlay. I can also watch (listen) to CZcams videos while I drive. It’s pretty cool being able to “watch” tv while I drive but it’s mostly for passengers on a long trip or for me to listen to since I’m not very big into music.
That seems like a really cool thing for road trips. Keep my passengers occupied so they don't complain about the exhaust. 🤣
Always has been a dream of mine, but like you said it would have only made sense to do this at the beginning. At this point, I've already done so much to my VB that I'm almost done modifying it. Would have been cool to show to journey and potentially get a following doing that. But now, I'd just be a personality that doesn't have much content... Wouldn't be able to showcase new items because I wouldn't be able to afford just buying things to try on the car for a video and then try to sell off lol.

Starting anything on CZcams can be a random endeavour. I'm in a few sub reedits for new CZcamsrs and it's crazy how much success is somewhat random. You can play the game and get lucky but sometimes it doesn't work no matter how much you try. I did get lucky , but once I saw it stick I tripped down and spend a LOT of time networking and promoting. It's 100% a second job for me, but I'd rather do this than do my day job 😭

I applied for a partial sponsorship through iir about 5 years ago. I got it & Never looked away. From building my dream STi and getting every part needed to routine maintenance, i get everything from them!❤🎉
I kind of thought about it, but I know that I dont have anything of value yet that they would need/want. I do film and photography on the side, but I never do anything for myself personally. I think the hard part is just filming myself and talking to the camera. The hardest part is to just start - in my case.

Great video. You are making a great effort on this channel and it shows. I get tons of emails from companies wanting to send me Chinese made products, which is okay... but, it would be some random stuff that has nothing to do with my content. Occasionally, some well known businesses would contact me directly, or through a proxy promo company wanting 30sec ads made or such. Those usually end with low ball offers mainly because they don't understand how I get views. Overall, I have other ways of making money due to nature of the content, but I certainly don't pursue as much as I should. I like my free time... hehe 😁
Thank you! You did help me early on when I had a question about sponsorships. So far no monetary sponsor has been real or worked out 🤣. It's like you said, it's usually low ball offers or unrelated products. The extra parts are super helpful. I just need to keep at it and more companies will take notice. The channel definitely feels like a second job sometimes, but I enjoy it more than my 9-5 now 🤘

Perrin has been the sole reason my channel even has semi regular content. I wouldnt even say im technically "sponsored" by them, as they have never really asked me for anything on my end other than some testing feedback on a couple secret parts. Jeff has been phenomenal of hooking me up with parts to use to make my content. IIR gave me one of their "partial sponsorships" back when I had my 21, which was cool. But thats more of a discount code haha, which is helpful for sure. I have had a couple other companies reach out for colabs, which I still find odd only having 320ish subs haha. But I love it all none the less!
Yea I'll be honest, when I confirmed it was real Perrin I couldn't even believe he wanted to share his goodies with me.
