  • In a recent fight held in London, Adam Azim defeated Enock Poulsen by knockout due to an unexpected injury suffered in the fifth round. Following his latest win, the Slough boxer remains undefeated with a record of 11-0 and eight knockouts. The 21-year-old European super lightweight champion successfully defended his title when Poulsen suffered a dislocated right shoulder, ending the fight at 2:39 of the fifth round.
In the first round, both boxers threw their jabs with concentration and precision. Azim probed his left hand and threw quick left hooks, while Poulsen showed good footwork and kept a safe distance. Nevertheless, the Dane managed to catch Azim with a tight left hook.
In the second round, Azim began to invest more in the jab and use his right hand, and Poulsen - his left. Even though Poulsen tried to land blows on Azim, he remained vigilant and kept a tight defense the entire time.
In the third and fourth rounds the fight was a tense fight, but Azim gradually seized control of the situation without making much effort. He hacked into his opponent's defenses, looking for weak spots on the head and body.
The turning point came in the fifth round when Poulsen landed a right hook on Azim that dislocated his shoulder, an injury he suffered three times during his previous fight with Franck Petitjean in 2022. Unable to continue the fight and having served the allotted time, Adam Azim won by technical knockout.
Poulsen's career record worsened and he now stands at 14-1 with 5 knockouts. Prior to this fight, he held the European 140-pound title in 2022.
After the victory, Adam Azim expressed his intention to continue to actively perform in the ring, striving to achieve world level in professional boxing circles. #boxing #adamazim #EnochPoulsen
