Theory: When we teleported to John Jones office, it was just the Epic Games HQ and we somehow came into the real world, similar to how Drift came from the real world and went into the game. I mean, if you were John Jones and saw a video game character in your office, wouldn't you be surprised too?
Great theory it totally checks out, plus it would make sense an employee would want a cameo in a pop culture game i.e. fortnite
This connects so much to my theories and it is amazing in my opinion and I'm saying this since, since chapter 1 I have made theories which have been correct so far.

I have a theory about the cup on Agent Jonesy's desk...
When we entered the room we seen 'TOP SECRET' folders with pictures of Lynx, Midas, and Jules. This could be because these people were all supposed to be in team GHOST. Lynx was in the season 2 trailer so it only makes sense that she had to choose a team. Midas remained neutral throughout this whole time and eventually discovered the simulation of BR. He then contacted Jules- a brilliant engineer - and the two decided to team up and make the Device. Midas is also a mastermind and therefore pledges to GHOST, but he is actually in team SHADOW. He could go to team GHOST because he knew about the simulation and knew that John Jones was a member of GHOST. We know this from the cup on Jones's desk. Jules then goes under the radar so that she can help Midas with the doomsday device without being suspected by Jones. This raises suspicions in the real world because nobody has ever went under the radar. This leads to Jules being a top secret case. Lynx remained neutral and offered to help Midas break the loop. This results in Lynx agreeing to take part in am experiment to see if she will 'respawn'. This happens and Midas restores her memory, Midas is still on team GHOST as a cover story. Jonesy notices that Midas is not behaving the way he should because he is not doing anything about SHADOW taking over the Rig, The Grotto, The Yatch and various other places too. Midas is now a 'TOP SECRET' case and so is Lynx.

Theory: My theory suggests a mix between yours and Ali A's theory.
I think that save the world was actually the first take on battle royale, but it all went wrong as the ice king made the whole map full of zombies.But now, we have avoided that trouble in our battle royale.But also, if you glitch into the marauders, you would see 2 of the characters from save the world, who probably died, but continued the loop in our battle royale.This is a clue that save the world and battle royale are connected and when save the world opens to everyone, the save the world infection would leak into battle royale

Theory : Lynx was working with midas.
Because in season 7 meowsicles and lynx where dating and in one of the loading screens lynx was working and showed a picture of meowsicles before he came out, which gave midas the opportunity to give lynx a chance to be apart of his plan so she can squeeze data about the map and changes. Since meowsicles said yes to midas she went along with it.Thats why she is the top secret file (you can also see that meowsicles has a tattoo of her name so its pretty obvious)

The story line makes so much sense now because of this video good job.
Theory: The biggest question is why and I think I have a possible answer. In the real world the storm and husks are a big problem but the world has stabilized. Sadly all the people who died because of it are trapped in the storm. Ego has found a way to get there consciousness into a computer program and there bodies are lost. So they were given bodies inside the simulation and some of the people who were famous got a form if there original body. There fore they need something to do and due to the program it forces them to do a battle Royale to the death, yet some have broken the mold and tried to make businesses and have a peaceful living ( Kit and Meowcles) because the world is still in chaos Ego is using the simulation to test future outcomes in what is yet to come.
TLDR: Ego is using the simulation as a test grounds for the world that has gone to crap.

Season 3 Theory: Maybe the Doomsday Device will come back if the storm go's at least like purple and more powered or it will come someday, and Jules will help of course.
Season 2 Secret: In Midas's room you can see Jules. This isn't the only thing of a new boss. This means the Doomsday event, Jules, Jules helping with the device, and Ghost separating.
Season 1 Theory: Probably Shadow and Ghost were teams then only used Ghost as a team but then Shadow again joined and battled. The Agency might have planned to take over the island as well.

Theory: vindertech has changed their identity to ghost because in the save the world storyline the owner of vindertech is dead and just a hologram and they made john jones the new leader of vindertech to keep the simulation going

Something else that is hinted toward the simulation is in the song Paws and Claws music disc it says "I am just a cat, to play forever" which basically claims they play the song/the game forever in a simulation.
Theory: you know those toilet secret passages? Maybe the shark had a secret passage from the simulation to the real world and that’s where Midas is right now.
Theory: EGO or Ghost is the organization running the simulation. The map gets reset for the new chapter so EGO sends their men down to test the map and make sure there are no issues. However the end event has convinced some people of this simulation and they decide to fight back against the organization controlling them. They call themselves ALTER, an organization created to dig he the simulation. While attempting to release people from the simulation, ALTER accidentally corrupts Scratch. This gains EGOs attention and the move in to contain the issue. Eventually, Midas, another person that wants to escape the simulation, finds away to join EGO and gain their trust by using his wealth to fund their army. Once trust had been gained, Midas worked from the inside finding all the info he could to escape or sabotage the simulation. He keeps on contact with Jules, the lead engineer for ALTER, and she helps him break the storm. This leads to a huge hit to EGO. They temporarily create a water storm to contain the loop but it collapses. The men EGO sent down to the map are now merely drifters with no funds and not enough power to fight ALTER who now run the map planning an attempt to break the simulation.

reason why scratch is corrupted is cause his alter-ego 8ball fought him and won. but that doesn't make any sense since everything is a loop. ch2s1 got scrapped, so the 'storyline' isnt fully canon, but the reboot ch2s2 helps the storyline make more sense.

The Angel why does alter have to be the bad guys. And it was never specifically stated that Midas was the leader of ghost. He could’ve just ran the spy division of EGO because he funded it
