These lyrics are worth paying attention to. It's a song about the process of evolution, taking listeners back along the evolutionary path. 'The shrew that survived’ is a reference to the rodent that managed to survive the event that wiped out the dinosaurs. There also is a reference to the ‘tiktaalik’. This extinct animal had a combination of features showing the evolutionary transition between swimming fish and four-legged vertebrates. We are part of evolution and we should not forget about that.

This was a magical concert, Floor's mother and father were there to see her perform for the first time....

This is one of the great concerts of NW. The title of this song is the same as their 8th album and their first with Floor. They made a 22 short-episodes docu of this album "Making of a New Album". Very funny and interesting to see how and where (!) they work. The theme of the album has all to do with human and nature. It's sequel is their 9th album "Human Nature" which was released on April 10th 2020. All their stage props and their clothes has to do with that theme.....the DNA strings on Floor clothes and the drums, the tree man on the keyboards, the ocean on Tuomas's T-shirt etc. During the rehearsels Jukka had to step back due to the severe insomnia he suffered from for years. His friend Kai Hahto replaced him (video "Jukka Nevelainen forced to take a break due to health issues"). In 2019 he officially stepped back. He is still engaged with NW, on the management side.
Btw.. Tampere is pronounced TAM (the "a" as in car) -peh-rrreh and is a town in Finland.

Hi Todd, i’me a new subscriber to your channel and i’ve watched some of your reactions to Nightwish by you now. A few days ago you did some reactions to them and you where wearing a t-shirt with a flying bird on it and it instantly reminded me of a song from the Imaginaerum album of Nightwish. It’s cold The Crow, The Owl and The Dove. There is an animated official fan video of it on CZcams (sorry, don’t know how to send you a link of it, i’me no good on that) The story of how this video came about is nice too. They asked fans to make a video for this song and this one won the contest. It’s sung by Anette who was the front woman at that time and it’s a fairly short song but a beautyfull one. There are not many reactors playing this one so it would be nice to hear your view on it as allso it was song by another than Floor. She has sung it in one concert though but there is no good registration of it, I think. All the best and greetings from the Netherlands.
