To be honest, Kai is extremely skilled drummer. He's one of the finest metal drummers today!
I love Tuomas's face when he says: "We play the songs we love, not the songs we must....songs that fit Floor's voice". In other words: "We play because we love to play, not necessarily to please Tarjamaniacs or Nettiemanaics". I love how they are not sellouts, even when some of their hypocrite fans do want them to satisfy their very whims and desires, like crazy fucked up wives and pampered little children do. People say Tuomas is the real diva in NW. Fuck yeah, I'm glad he is. He has dedicated his whole life to be who he is, and to make NW what it is. He knows his shit, we don't. People say he changes vocalists like he changes his underwear. Fuck yeah, it's his band, and yet he has never been an unconsidered person. He always works to bring us the best NW experience. He is a fucking diva, but he has the right to be one. He's a great musician. He's earned it.
As a follower since 96 and literally being right there in 2012 when Anette left....as a NW family member, it blew me apart and l was not right for 2 years and havent never really came back as the rest of the band still has to battle demons,but after patting Tuomas on the back in Austin and somewhat vibing what you have said,you are right....THIS IS TUOMAS'S BABY.....LUCKILY EVEN THOUGH TARJA AND ANETTE STILL COOK,WITH FLOOR,THEY HAVE A SINGER THAT CAN RANGE ANYTHING.....WATCH THEM PLAY TODAY COMPARED TO BEFORE ENDLESS FORMS AND YOU WILL SEE A MUSICAL TRUST THAT ALLOWS NIGHTWISH TO GO ANYWHERE MUSICALLY AS YOU SEE ON THE NATURE ALBUM.....ITS BEEN 8 YEARS ALREADY.....AND AGE SHOWS BUT FOR ME,PLAYING 57 YEARS ON GUITAR AND EMPPU TURNING ME ON TO ESP, ITS THE MUSIC THAT KEEPS YOU YOUNG....BLESS YOU ALL......STAY SAFE AND STAY A FAN OF THE BEST SYMPHONIC BAND THAT EVER WAS OR WILL BE.

I have very different understanding of what he said. I think he was mocking Anette. They could not play some songs because she did not like them/could not sing them while Floor can sing them all, so by saying we play songs that fit Floor's voice he was just releasing some anger towards Anette. I might be wrong of course.
it is SOOOOOOOOOO good to see all they guys so happy together after a very LONG time.... I guess Floor's presence has boosted their psychology

The members of Nightwish are true musicians. Studied & worked hard to achieve their goals. Not many drummers play notes - Kai, Jukka, Neil Peart, Phil Ehart, from Kansas.

They were AWESOME last night at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. Floor was beautiful, and absolutely nailed the songs. Totally blown away by her performance. Delain and Sabaton were great too. All in all a very enjoyable evening!
Now that's a rehearsal! From the karaoke session I just watched Annette Olson do 2 one of the Floor song romanticide... And yes I know it's the other way around, but after seeing floor sing romanticide 2013 wacken Festival, Annette Olsen look like she was doing a crappy version in a karaoke of the song. I think honestly... Floor Jansen could make a turd look good, then Thomas could write a song about it, and floor would sing it making it smell like heaven.

Caught the SLC show and was AMAZED. Seeing NW was a dream come true, I wish I could just follow the tour around the US!

It kills me that Nightwish is in town tonight, I've had tickets for months, and yet I have a bad back and can't go....
Kai is an awesome machine of a drummer - worthy successor. But i really would have loved if he had also transcribed the ending of Ghost love score (From Showtime, Storytime) beat by beat as well. Similarly to the part in Story time, it´s very special - like an avalanche of toms climaxing towards the end. I feel LGS is lacking with it´s present ending and thats a bit sad to me. PS: if Kai is a power machine - Jukka was a thunderstorm!

I saw that Alpenglow didn't make the setlist. I'm a little disappointed: not only is it one of my favorites but it also boast the "we were here" anthem... I was already imagining myself singing that at the top of my voice...

cDa I dont need that I own every song they ever did already. But If they did it should include escapist. Right now you have to do so much to get your hands on that single here in germany. I was suprised one did't ask me to sacrifice my firstborn for it, seriously I waited MONTHS for that single and the song is absolutely amazing. Speaking of which they should play that one live more.
