I'd love to see more videos in this format with simulated commutes through a city instead of on backroads and other highways. Even if its a regular sized car/sports car I love seeing things like what its like in a drive thru or taking it to a gas station or grocery store. This is the perfect balance of a car review.

I really like this new format. I think it would be perfect if a little performance (or in this case off-road performance) were included just to simulate "the fun route home" because then it would just have everything. Also maybe a little night driving because maybe some errand needs to be ran at night or something. Keep up the good work!

I just got a 2023 Raptor, and the more you drive it, the more constable you feel on the road. My is a V6 Twin turbo, and when you step on it, the power is amazing. I was wondering how it would be to drive through a drive-thru. Good video.

I normally dislike blue on cars, but this shade and color of blue with the graphics looks so freaking good. I put in an order for a carbon metallic non-R for 2024 and second guessing t he color choice now.

@@wint_62 Lol you must not have seen the direct comparison, the TRX doesn't even offroad as good as it's supposed to. The sound out of the TRX is great, just not what it's meant to do. Raptor R is faster on a dig, roll and offroad.

I have a 2020 Raptor and truly love it. The width does take a bit of time to get use to, other than that I have not one complaint as mine has the power tailgate and built in step as well as the panoramic roof. Great review on the new R.
My dad has a 2020 raptor as well, and I love it. I just got my license about 4 months ago and it took no time for me to get used to it because it was the first car I drove! I love it. It still keeps up with the newer cars despite older tech.

I have the same truck and I love it. The thing is a beast and in less than ideal conditions it reigns supreme. Also the Gen 2 had the better aesthetic in my opinion. No denying the Raptor R though, this thing is in a class of its own.

The raptor having the small bed is easy to daily, I use to daily a F350 super duty with a long bed in Los Angels for a while. Not only were the streets small but the parking spot were hard to get into lol .

I'm considering the upgrade of a lifetime (going from a Subaru Crosstrek to a RaptoR). I'm torn between the RaptoR and a King Ranch. With my biggest concerns being that the hp makes it terrifying to drive, and concerns about parking it, especially parallel parking it. Thank you for this great review, I'm definitely one step closer to pulling the trigger on this once in a lifetime truck.
Very nice. If I could afford it, I drive it. I have a 2019 velocity blue Raptor. My gas bill in TX averages $122. Good luck with that fill up. 😊🤙

I went ZR2 with the diesel. The power and absurdity of a TRX or Raptor R would be great if I had toy money but I have only enough for 1 vehicle. Diesel is only about 25 cents more than regular around me and not having to stop at every gas station I see is pretty nice.

If everyone drove their Raptor R in public the way Cleetus does...It would make it easier for me to not roll my eyes at those who just keep them shiny everyday.. even the TRXs. Tire shine and perfectly clean inner fenders are a giveaway.

I daily a f350 dually with the long bed 105" wide at the mirros so I definitely understand what it's like to be too big on the road.

I wanted a Raptor, ended up buying a F250 Tremor for its hauling capability. Now I don’t feel bad for it’s 12.4 MPG when weighed down some, lol, but would love that Baja style driving… maybe a Super Baja is next, or a Raptor R… hmm
I have a dually and I have 1ft of margin on each side on the highway and when I’m on the back road I’m riding on the white line and barely touching the yellow
I love smashing on the Raptors, great truck for sure, but i opted for an 800hp Roush F150 with a whipple
10.5 mpg, impressive. If you owned this truck for 8 years, got a thrifty 12 mpg and did 15k miles per year, it'd cost you upwards of $50,000 in fuel alone, about 1/2 the cost of the truck itself.
You don’t buy this truck if you’re worried about gas

I think a lot of people over-leverage themselves financially to buy this truck, and then become crippled by fuel costs because a lot of people legitimately do not understand what fuel consumption numbers actually mean. A lot, if not most people might not know that this monstrosity consumes twice as much fuel as a typical V8 F150.

The raptor r is all about performance, and that requires gas. Lots of gas.

How does one even get into this vehicle reviewing line of work? I've watched you, Tedward, Topher, and various others for years now, and it is literally my dream to be able to just drive various cars for a living (or even hobby at that lol). Just curious on how you got your start and what steps you took to get where you are now :)
My guess would be first you need a genuine interest and love for vehicles. Then you ask every friend and family member if you can do a video on their vehicles. Then you call every dealership within 100 miles and see what if any vehicles they will let you make videos on. You probably need to be personable and know how to actually talk to people in person and on the phone which most young people lack now days. On top of that you better have a decent camera for filming and you better have a mic cause good audio is a must. Then you better do your research on any vehicle you are able to make a video on. You probably also need to know or at least figure out how to edit videos. Good luck.

This is a cool looking truck what is the light flashing on the a pillar and on top of the radio also im more of a chevy guy so as much as i like the sound of the trx better id probably get the silverado zr2
It's an infrared sensor that is part of Ford BlueCruise - helps track the eyes for semi-autonomous features. Similar to a remote control, you can't see the flashing light in person, but the camera picks it up.
