I got it because of Kofuzi thanks to Adidas randomly putting their shoe's on good discounts time to time and I've never loved any shoe more than this one, I was always Swoosh fan but this shoe just changed that for me, always happy to see when Kofuzi praises your shoe, lol! Ight I'm going for a run now 😅
On your recommendation, I picked up the Adizero SL for $70 on Amazon. First run with the shoes was amazing. Lightweight and stable, I instantly fell in love with these shoes. I'll compare with Puma VN 2 when it arrives, but your recommendation so far has been very much appreciated!
I bought the Adizero SL a couple of months ago and so far I really enjoy running in them. I find them very versatile since they have a nice response and feeling for speed workouts but at the same time they are comfortable enough to run longer easy runs. Overall they were a nice surprise and made me look more into the adidas lineup for future shoes.
I bought this shoe watching both your reviews and so extremely pleased with it. I am about 150km into the first one using it as a daily trainer and I just enjoy the easy runs so much in it, as well as mixing in some elevation distances in my part of the world. I just bought the last pair that was available here for a ridiculous price just to ensure I don't miss out. Pairing it with another recommendation of yours, Puma Deviate Nitro 2 which is probably my favorite running shoe. The Puma makes me enjoy running in it. Thanks very much for these reviews.
You may be one of the few running shoe reviewers who provided positive thoughts about the AdiZero SL. I totally agree with you about this shoe. The SL is my to-go running shoe for my Zone 3 Aerobic "casual" runs and the shoe I brought for all my travels. I am a mid-fore foot striker so the forefoot LSP is just tuned to the sweet spot, not too mushy but still has the "focused" bounciness that provides adequate responsiveness for my purpose. The new LS compound feels much softer, almost comparable to the React foam in Peg 39/40, meanwhile the forefoot feels better than the new pegs - LSP is bouncier and the LS cage reduces the lateral movement of the LSP so more concentrated energy return and more stable. Now my pair has hit 350 miles, outsole rubber is still okay (even I used them for a technical trail run once), but I could feel the LSP has decayed a lot. Just got my 2nd pair in case this pair cannot hold any more soon (now it's not very hard to get them for
I now own both the Nike Pegasus 40 and Adidas Adizero SL running shoes! They are both versatile, all-in-one type of shoes designed for beginner runners and those on a budget. However, as someone who has run in both pairs for over 100 kilometers, I still notice some minor differences. Firstly, the Pegasus 40 feels cushioned but heavier than the Adizero SL. On the other hand, the Adizero SL feels lighter and more responsive, although it lacks the same level of cushioning as the Pegasus 40. So, when I run at a pace of 7-8 minutes per kilometer, the Pegasus feels more comfortable, whereas the Adizero SL tends to make my legs tire faster and feel more strained. However, when I switch to faster-paced workouts like tempo runs or intervals, the Adizero SL really shines! I can comfortably run at paces of 4-5-6 minutes per kilometer without any issues. I'm not sure how runners in other countries feel, but here in Vietnam, the Adizero SL shoes seem to be somewhat underrated. They are often overshadowed by the Nike Pegasus 40, Asics Novablast 3, and Puma Deviate Nitro 2. If you're looking for a new running experience, the Adizero SL is not a bad choice, especially if you're a fan of the Adidas brand! Oh, by the way, when I see those scenes of Kofuzi running outdoors, he really resembles the Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada 😂.
Thank you for your comment. I really love Peg's cushion and was looking for an alternative. I tried Nimbus 25 and found it to be too squishy. I heard the Adizero SL softens over time. Did it happen to your shoes?
Great to hear!! I have a question . I planned to rotate my novablast 3 (5-10k recovery runs), Adizero sl (1-2mile fast runs) and pegasus trail 3 for trail runs. While the first two worked absolutely fine from the box, the pegasus 3 trails gave me extreme pain and slowed me down to a point that I felt i was injured. Now I understand its like 2 miles in those. Should I continue in them or trade them for someone else?? Im scared if I try to run in them more, I may get injured.
Have both, use the SL for shorter runs up to 45 minutes, and the Boston 12s for longer runs and faster runs. Really like the 12s, a massive improvement over the 11s which were rather horrible and gave me injuries.
@@v1nc3ntpham I've tried neither. I assume when his review comes out that Kofuzi isn't going to be a fan of the Boston, but we'll see. The majority opinion though is that the 12 is an excellent shoe and I agree, went for a run in mine last night in light rain, and that's another big plus for the shoes, I can't use the SLs when it's wet outside, they'd soak up too much, but the Boston's material won't absord water. I'm guessing the Takumi is the same in that regard though.
Got mine today. Shorter and narrower than the adios 8. Changed the insoles to a thinner ones. Heel part is on the firmer side. Mid/forefoot is nice but not as nice as the adios but close enough. Got them on 55% discount. Definitely worth the money. I will be using them on the gym for hyrox simulations. Bought them because of yours and fordys review. Thanks!
I got the SL based on your recommendation and 60% discount in that colorway. The first week I was like meh. Now after 60 miles it has become my favorite workhorse. Both the SL and the NB 880. I am also getting the Sen 9 based on your video on Sen 8. I am hoping you will be making a video on Asics Magic Speed 3 after 100 miles soon.
Yooo Kofuzi! I just got this shoe for 48 on sale which is carzy, and I love it as my daily workhorse for walking, running, gym, anything that needs durability so that I can save my other shoes for more serious training. I think this is a very quality shoe for the price I got ;0, and I might be an Adidas fan now. before I liked nike but after seeing this shoe, I definitely think adidas has way better quality on their products and deliver more than Nike. :)
Great Review! I bought a pair after your initial video on them, and have about 60 miles so far. I found them a little still until about 20 miles and then they broke into a very nice easy day shoe for me. Keeping my fingers crossed that you got a pair of Prime X Strung 2s to review. Seeing mixed things, and I tend to agree with your reviews a bit more often. Keep up the good work!
These are my no-frills, getting the job done shoes. I've recently described the Adizero SL as a shoe for beginners and anyone else who doesn't know yet how much shoe tech has evolved over the past ten years.
I find the Adios 8 does everything better than the SL mainly because it has more LSP and I also prefer the minimal padding around the heel of the A8. The SL is not bad but would pick the A8 over it every day.
I'm pretty sure Marco Arop uses these for his track workouts, or at least whatever he's wearing in his videos look extremely similar. Was surprised to see that.
Wow , foam wear at 100 miles? My novablasts have over 1100 miles on them , the outsole is starting to show signs of mortality but the foam is still good . I'm expecting another 200 or so . Thanks for the review, I do have some other Adidas shoes and like them 👍
This is literally a your mileage may vary kind of situation. Some people claim over 1,000 miles on a pair of shoes. I don’t like to wear shoes past 300 miles. For reference, you can look at any of my Novablast (versions 1-3) after 100 mile videos.
Rebel and Pegasus are definitely from a higher league. They are different but each of them is much much more comfortable for any tipe of run then Adidas. Adizero Sl runs half a size small. It feels very light but firm as wood even for walking. Only for young and not injured legs.
@@kofuziI’ve just ordered Adidas SL for 48$ (which I think is awesome) and I’m looking forward to compare them with my Pegasus 40. I run a lot and I need more pair of shoes for training, because I’ve already ran over 500 km in my Pegasus 40. I hope Adidas SL are worth it )))

Big question is: Will Adidas put Lightstrike 2.0 foam in future versions of SL, replacing the stiff Lightstrike? That would be a game changer, just check LS 2.0 @ Boston 12.
Yes. Adizero SL 2 should come out in early 2024, and replace LightStrike with LightStrilke 2.0, and the Lightstrike Pro won't be anymore just a puck, but cover the entirety of the midsole. Basically, just like a Boston 12, but without the energy rods and with a better upper :)

I got the Adizero SL early in the year based on your review. I have really enjoyed it from easy days to long-ish days. What I don't enjoy it for is track days, a bit too high, but that's not the purpose of the shoe anyway. It does perform well in tempo days. Because I haven't bought the Takumi Sen yet, I have my 5k PR in the SL 😄😆
It appears to be a design flourish to make it match the rest of the Adizero line, but it seems superfluous given how much padding there is in this shoe

It's hard for me to say. I didn't have any issues with the laces digging into my foot while running, but I also didn't experience what you describe when not running
@@kofuzi Maybe I'm just used to a thick tongue in my 1080s.
nice
These run 1/2 size short compared to Pegasus 39?
I have the same size in each
Hi, done more than 700km on these shoes. They become really soft!
great to hear!
didnt like the fit on this shoe tbh. tongue slips and laces untie unless you double knot, though otherwise this shoe has grown on me after 100 miles and ive started to like it a little more. got it for $35 from rei so it was a great deal too
Great price
Just decided to give it a shot for $60.
Best shoe for 5k road to trail race? Torrent 2 or Tecton x?
I haven’t tried the tectonic x2
Tecton X V1 is fine, versus the Torrent 2 as the Tecton x2 is just an upper update@@kofuzi
So which one better? New blance propel v3 or sl
I did not try last year’s Propel so I do not have an opinion
Adizero sl or new balance fuelcell rebel v3?for daily, speed,n race day
Rebel
Assuming price is not a consideration
@@kofuzi thanks 👐
Can u review this brand called ortuseight hypersonic 1.2
I do not have current plans for that brand
@@kofuzi which one would u prefer, adizero sl or asics novablast 4?
Yo what's going on?! Where's the Boston 12 review kofuzi?
you want Boston 12 first or Prime X 2 first?
@@kofuzi Boston 12 please 🙏🏾. Prime X 2 is too expensive.
Man i recently got into running 7 months ago and its becoming a pretty expensive hobby 😂
that's normal
How does this compare to Adios 8?
One is a daily trainer. The other is a workout or racing shoe
@@kofuzi alright. Another question, would you recommend using the adios 8 as a daily trainer? I can get it for a pretty good price so was just wondering
there are better ways to save money
Make a review of Boston 12
eventually
First to view yay

Yo, what’s going on!!!!
