Thank you John. Regards JP
another great use for a drill stand . I made a 400 mm x 300 mm table for my drill stand but put on a fence bolted on one end and moveable the other so just move the fence and whats has to be drilled to right position. might not be suitable for mortises
Thanks Barney. There are a few drills stand attachment idea. An attachment that holds small parts may be next. Regards JP
Nice job !!
Thank you Michael. Regards JP
Thanks for another great video :D I recently chose to cut some mortices with my drill press. This was before I got my DeWalt router. But I used a spiral upcut bit instead of a drill bit. They are a lot more precise, and also handle a bit of side cutting for when cleaning out the mortice. Mind you, I was using a 6mm bit. So for something as large as you show here, I don't know if the chuck would be pulled out. But you never know. So my suggestion for improvement would be to use an upcut router bit instead of the drill bit.
Thank you Nomad. I will have a look at that. Regards JP
Ingenuity at its best, well thought out m8.
Thank you Steve much appreciated. Regards JP
Brilliant ""
Thank you 🙏 regards JP
Love the long dovetail for a rail. Great idea JP
Thank you Paul. Regards JP
That is a good idea. That will also work for a dedicated mortising machine. I’ll be saving this video for the future.
Thank you. Regards JP
Great idea, I'm going to copy this. Think I'll get the mortice drill adaptor too
Thanks Gary. My drill is the cheapest I could buy in 2019 - before everything went crazy! - and does not take a mortice attachment, so I square the pockets with a mortice chisel. Regards JP
Very clever idea 👌👍
Thank you Idler. Regards JP
