I bought the Presage Mojito with the guilloché dial about a year ago and it's one of the few pieces that I often get compliments when I'm wearing it. Most of my other watches costing 10, 15 times more than this go unnoticed 99% of the time. Like a lot people say, nobody does dials like Seiko. It's mesmerizing. The strap is a thrown away, though.
What color / model did you get?

Lighting suggestion: matte black gloves and stronger light diffusers. The results will be spectacular. Love your work. Just got myself an ISL 20 and I'm smitten.
That blue dial is amazing and really pops. The red one for some reason looks more subdued and the green is in-between. Great size too
That brown dial with the rose gold hands has me. Beautiful!

I have the red Cocktail Time, aka Negroni, and I quite like it. It looks lovely, and wears nicely. The size is great. It also has the "fishscale" pattern, but it's harder to see. I also really like the Seiko deployant clasp. It work well, and is very comfortable.
Great additions to the store! There are some real sleepers out there in the Presage lineup! I picked up a JDM Alpinist deep lake blue not long ago 😍 (checked your store first of course!)

My taste change quite a bit. I think I’m getting into dress watches. I used to be all about the spec. Lume and water resistant. I realized that dress watches look better and are more comfortable. I also have divers and G Shocks if I need to do rough or water types of things.

I really like both 38.5mm watches. Very nice dials. If they were more affordable like around 300.00 I would get one, having hardlex and not sapphire is disappointing. 425.00 is too much in my opinion. Having a small wrist I can appreciate the size of the watch. And you are right, Seiko is great at making dials. 5000 sq feet is huge. I can't imagine the rent on that space. Good luck Mark. Wait for a sale and you will end up half way between $300 and $425

Love the old ones especially the red and blue. Wasn’t impressed with the new one til we saw the detail.
All these deserve some nice macro b-roll imho to really show off the dials.

Hi Mark, the dials on the first three are supposed to resemble the texture of a cocktail glass. I particularly like the Negroni (maroon one). The green is the Mojito. I will come in to see them soon.

Seiko dial's were always topnotch and made a affordable watch look more premium than it was. Vintage or modern Seiko is hard to beat.
For me I like the 38mm maroon and also the green & gild.
38 is a great size for bezel-less cases. Love it.

Hi Marc, that would be a quilted dial. You can also refer to it as a checkered dial like on a gun stock. That is truly what it is, but referred to in the old days as quilted. Sometimes knives had hand filed pearl quilted handles. Yes, the Rose lathe was used originally to do this and you pronounced guilloche correctly. 😉🐶🐕

Nice dials but sub 40mm cases are just too small for me, Also at those prices you would think they could make a bracelet with screws instead of pins. I'll pass on these.

There are some 38.5mm Presage out there.
I can't understand why the Presage models are paired with such plain straps. The elegance of these dress watches demands that they be paired with a glossy, padded and stiched lizard, alligator or crocodile strap, even if it's just embossed instead of the real deal exotic skin. The supplied Presage strap belongs on a tool watch, not a dressy one.

The thing is if it hadnt got Seiko on the dial? Just another watch.The 4r movement is nothing to right home about( nh35) Just looking at it it could be a 25 quid watch from Argos albeit a quartz but thats fine.This thing with mechanical movements that are stamped out by cnc stuff is hardly here and now and worth the tag price.Just a novelty.
Yes, all watches are a novelty at this point.
