Hi, the R4i Gold site IS up but unfortunately doesn't make much sense! The 'newsflash' regarding upgrading from V1.4 to V1.4.1 looks to have been translated from Japanese to English by someone who doesn't speak either language, and I can't decide whether it's safe to upgrade or not.
Added to that, the upgrade instructions tell you to copy certain downloaded files to the card, but the first file mentioned doesn't exist in the download.
I am totally confused so any help would be brilliant!

Hey Unixcube... I have this exact same card with version 1.10b but I would love to update to a newer firmware version of the card so I can play all games. Do you now which files need to be updated and where to find them?
how does it work, haven't you got any problem with this.... does it works well... do you recommend to buy this one??
@xExternalModz extract compressed file and put into the root directory of the memory card.
hi i got one of the gold ones second hand, and wanted to do a full clean install after formatting, but i dont have the system disk with the kernal. i tried the internet but everything i tried didnt work. luckily i had a back up of what was on it before (which works) but i wanted a clean install. do you know where i can download the correct kernel?
p.s. its to work on my DS lite

i got a question, i just format d sd card from the r4i gold v1.3 ,the ehing is that i dont have any back up so now i cant use it any more when i turn it on the screen reminds white n dont do anything else please help me
I have the same one as you but it dont come on it shows but when I go on it it just stays blank... You know why ?

one r4i gold with super mario on the box just came this morning to me from hong kong from gamekool.com....and i cannot make it works on my brand new ndsi...i have only white screen....what i need to do to make it works?
My DSi is on 1.4.5 and my R4igold.cn card doesnt work because there is an error when i start it. But the card is working on my DS Light. Is it possible to update my r4 gold kernel? A few years ago it worked with my dsi

Hi can you help me? I ordered a r4i gold revolution card from lightake.com and I have a nintendo ds lite. It won't work but now I notice it says r4i revolution upgrade 1.41. it didn't say upgrade when I ordered it. They must have made a mistake right? i don't own any other cards. never have. this is my first time so I assume I am not suppose to have an upgrade card?

just take out the ds battery(need a screwdiver) and blow on it,,,,,,
it might take some time , but it will work(not for a period of time,but forever ) :)
Does the r4i gold come with an sd card or not?
Root of the micro sd card means that the files can't be inside of another folder. Just put files directly onto sd card

You can play new titles like pokemon conquest on the r4i gold v1.4 shown in this video if you download the latest unofficial kernel of DSTT. You can find it at r4wood(dot)com and put the files in the root of micro sd along with the original kernel found at r4igold(dot)cn. Just run dstt(dot)nds and run your game through dstt menu.

***** That card can only work on the Original DS, it isn't able to decode for the DSi XL. That is why it doesn't work, not the firmware.

Most cards have a website written on them. Go to that website to find the correct, latest firmware..... easy as pie.....
What kind of roms can this use? For example - .z64, .gba, .nes

jhianncarlo13 05152007 it is because you didn't clean the delete the root directory or memory card before putting in the firmware. Try to make sure to clear and delete everything before putting in the firmware. Then try again. If it doesn't work, it is your firmware (incorrect version, or missing files). You can send me a private message with your e-mail. I will send you the firmware. (most up to date before they changed it).

To decompress files you need to download a free program called winrar. Google " winrar free download" and you'll find it...

Please reset the system
Regard Zehef try to format card and put back the firmware, then put the game back in the folder. If that doesn't work, that means the game is too new and or broken rom.
