- The Hazy Maze Cave! One of my personal favorite stages of Super Mario 64. I love the atmosphere, the danger and the music.
Explore giant caves and small passages. Find yourself lost in a maze with poisonous gas not able to get out or elevate on a working elevator to find the red coins of the stage. Find yourself unable to escape the giant falling rocks that fall from nowhere into a giant hole or explore a underground lake with a dinosaur...

this is officially one of the most weirdest levels on the game, with a music that fit with that, is so cool.

Wet-Dry World: Allow me to introduce myself
Now that you've defeated Bowser in the Dark World, and unlocked the basement of the castle, there's still a long way to go. Nowhere is this more evident than an underground cavern with a yellow fogged and toxic maze, bats, falling rocks, flames, more eyeballs, and treacherous climbs. But hey, at least the underground lake monster is friendly. And the metal cap comes in handy. I guess that's why they call it Hazy Maze Cave...

Good memories of this game back during the late 90's, my late granny brought me this game when the 64 made its debut... such powerful nostalgia and remembering my granny playing this game, I'm 32 now, what a generation of memories associated with this 1 game..

When you're going for the 100 coins, it's very difficult to get the blue coins in the Hazy Maze unless you know EXACTLY where to go after stomping the block...they don't stay very long at all.
Who is watching this during quarantine this was by far the best childhood game

It took me a while to find the amazing emergency exit. I guess it should've been easy to see the door but I looked at a magazine to find that star to simply jump up to the door. One of the harder stars for me to get

No its a cave but there is urine inside of it
There's like a plane of elevation in which the music changes from the classic cave music to the creepy mysterious music. The elevator bottom entrance to the lake is where the music transitions, it also matches the elevation with the hazy maze which also has the creepy music.

the hardest and the 2nd most annoying 100 coin run in the cellars, most annoying is Dire Dire Docks
Don't go for the eyeballs. You will lose
Jolly Roger bay is annoying too, only 104 coins and if u miss a coin on the blue coin switch, restart the level xD

It was weird that Wet Dry town used this soundtrack as well. Also this game could've had an actual cave level as this is really a mine.

I need help. The tutorials for the stars in the toxic maze aren’t working. I did the double jump but I could not reach the ledge where the door was. I just kept jumping and double jumping and never even seeing the ledge and I know I wasn’t in the wrong place. I turned the camera and I saw the ledge so why can’t I reach it when I double jump?

I would Rename this to the Crystal Caverns or something more representative and reorganize the level a bit so it doesn’t feel linear.

I remember on February 15 2021 when my power went out I was having fun on this stage
Wait how did you get the more pleasant highway sounding "Seinfeld"-like slap bass for the lake portion of this level. It's usually the more uncomfortable other version when you're more underground. Now I think I'll try to get this version. Makes me feel there's more highway to this level than I thought. I thought the connector transfer room and the opening cave paths were the only ones with the highway-like music.

Hey! The DS version is different from the N64 version. The different players (Wario, Mario, Luigi and Yoshi) get different powerups. Switch personage to get the metal cap!

You have to perform a long jump. Then as you land on the platform, don't try to perform another long jump immediately after or else you'll fall off, die, and have to start all over again. Just stop when you land on the platform. Don't move. Then do another long jump to the last perform. You'll land on it, and the Power Star is yours.
