I never realised how chill the bosses were in this game they're all just like "grrr I hope you don't the weakspot I just pointed out to you using the most effective strategy that I've just explained." then when you defeat them they're just like "oh well guess I'll die here's how to make me relive my death for eternity"
Well this game was the first of its kind.. and it was just so different. Perhaps the developers just wanted to help players get a feel of what to expect

Yep the wiggler just says please come back and visit anytime. And the other bosses just compliment mario or say he wins and says take this star. Like eyeroc just says you are ruler of ancient pyramid for today.

But u didn’t beat the game until U found all hidden stars for a completely different ending .

When I was a kid, my cousins told me first two Bowsers were son and mother, and that was why they only resisted one hit. I don't know what's the real explanation, but it's pathetic Bowser only resists one at the first two fights.

@@durece100 That's not an excuse for having the first and second Bowser bosses have only one hitpoint. It's not that complicated to add more, literally every other boss but the Bullies and the Mr. I has three or more hitpoints.

@@durece100 How so? Its "boss fight" is just running around it until it gets dizzy and explodes. And even if you consider each lap around it a hit, you can see in the video that it takes two laps to defeat it (I'm not sure if it can take more or less depending on speed and other factors, though).

Are some of these even bosses? I think this is because there's no battle music when you fight some of them. I've always found this confusing. I do think Big Boo is a boss for example, but there's no battle music? But I guess if they hold a star to collect (Which they do), then I guess they would be considered as bosses. What do you think?

I think the bosses should’ve been much much harder. But man the graphics in this game look good even by today’s standards that’s incredible. Mario games in general age very very well. It was a fun time to be alive

It's classed as one because it has a star. The Big Fire Piranha Plants/Piranha Flowers could be one too since you have to defeat the 5 of them for a star.

In all my times playing Mario 64, I never came face-to-face with Eyerok, the Big Boos, Big Mr. I and Wiggler, so it's bizarre to see bosses in a game I never seen before.
For those curious: I always played on a save file from my Uncle's copy of the game, so I mainly just messed around rather than make any progress.
The first 3D Mario game it was a miracle.

I remember playing this game many years ago. I didn't get far, that's for sure. I attempted to free the Chain Chomp and repeatedly died every time. Is this game still available for the 3DS?
I never really thought how funny it is to defeat the bosses in Mario 64 by that you throw a bomb around, give a wall back pain and poke some hands eyes. And to add to that they tell you how to kill them

The only thing from sm64 in there was the castle courtyard but that was the smallest most pathetic cameo in that game.

It's more of a guardian then a boss. There are several one of a kind enemies that serve as guardians in this game such the Maw-Ray and the Mad Piano.

Of the Mario 3D platformers, I think this is the only one that doesn’t have a tentacles creature in it (bloopers count). I mean Super Mario Sunshine has the bloopers and Gooper Blooper, Super Mario Galaxy has King Kaliente and a few more bloopers, Super Mario Galaxy 2 has reappearances of the 2 tentacles creatures I mentioned for Galaxy one, Super Mario 3D Land and World both have bloopers in it, and finally Super Mario Odyssey has the gushens in addition to the Mollusque Lancuer and the Astro clones of him. Sorry for this useless piece of trivia. It is just that the tentacles creatures are some of my favorite of the Mario enemies as well as thwomp like enemies

The bosses in this game are so easy. Even the final boss was not that hard. I had a harder time with the sky world that came before him with the carpets.

I remember when this game first came out and I was like “wow, those graphics are awful”.
this game came out 1996 of course the graphics arent gonna be looking like super mario odyssey or some 2019 game. These were impressive graphics at the time and the first generation of consoles to use 3d graphics. there was no such thing as consoles having hd graphics at the time so im pretty sure you werent born at the time.

For some reason the only Courses I knew in this game when I 1st heard of it were Bob-omb Battlefield, Whomp's Fortress, Cool, Cool Mountain, Jolly Roger Bay, Big Boo's Haunt, Lethal Lava Land, and Shifting Sand Land.I don't know why I thought that those were the only levels in the game.

oh wow... this is the first time i noticed i always used another way to fight Eyerok, you can actually enter that small gap if you let urself fall off from the cliff, then mario will grab the edge of the entrance and you can enter it, if you do it that way then there is also no context between you and that golem.
