I keep having a issue with the bottom dropper not wanting to dispense the items. The only solution I have found is adding another Redstone torch on the bottom block but it bypasses the clock. On bedrock btw, everything else seems to work.
@@FSausser I found that adding a repeater in the redstone dust on the way to the dropper fixed this for me. I'm also on bedrock.
Is there a schematic that we can download?
If I make it 3 block high, will it work?
Hey eyecraft, you should make guides on how to get every achievement in the easiest way possible :D
Cool idea!
Thanks for posting this, its been a HUGE help in my survival world with my friends and family. we mostly share items so its been a huge help to just be able to dump our stuff in and not have to worry about finding it later
YES finally ive been waiting ages for someone to upload a good sorting system thank you so much!
No problem!
Wow, this is great!
One thing that puts you at the top of my tutorial list is I CAN UNDERSTAND YOU. Most other MC CZcamsrs mumble so much neither I nor the auto captions can understand. Thank you for speaking clearly.

Yeah I miss the 90s lol
Thank you so much this helped me so much. Me and my friends have always wanted to sort unstackable items and i finally found a way. Thank you again. Keep it up with the good content/farms/useful contraptions!!
I just really wanted to let you know I appreciate your work. Keep your style!
Thanks, I definitely will!
This channel puts me to sleep every time. Not because the videos are boring or anything, it just has that quality. I love it.
hey eyecraft!
just wanted to tell you that i and your other viewers hope youre doing well. also, youre videos are great and i find myself watching them not even for the tutorial aspect but just because you make them entertaining.
i actually have a little sticky note just from watching your videos of things to do when i play minecraft again.
dont feel bad if you ever need to take a break from making content. we love you and wed understand.

Was waiting for this..!!
Thank you! This tutorial is really helpful
Thank you as always

I’m early! Thanks for the new guide king!
Your Welcome!
Great video, thank you
this helped a lot, thanks!
Glad to hear!
@@Eyecraftmc thanks!
Great tutorials. I increased the throughout slightly by sorting the non-stackables at the input chest so they don't have to go through the stackable part.
Thank you :)😊
You're welcome :)
Cool✨
I love your tutorials and your voice is very calm! You should read for audiobooks hah
This is pretty cool. I have so far only used allays for collecting the eggs in my chicken farm because I only have 2 of them. They seem to be pretty buggy though. I had to set up a timer that's just shy of 30 seconds to keep them anchored to a noteblock which has the hopper minecart system beneath it for collecting the eggs. Even then, they sometimes would wander off out of range of the noteblock and would then try following me around again. So I had to lead them up to stay within range of the noteblock. Also, I can't seem to clone them as there's a bug going around where they won't do the dance. So until that gets fixed/added, then they'll just be my little egg collectors.
You can put the allays in line without the space for wool, dunno if its because some patch or because i found some workaround but my sorter works and its about 20 allays side by side
Excellent I gotta go get some allays and my chest boxes are a disaster
This would be better with a silent hopper type clock. Also, can you work a bit on the edit stitching? Some of the blocks in the unstackable deciding mechanism were hard to follow because they were on the edge of an edit cut. It would help if you gave a few zoom outs every so often to show what it looks like.
Finally, a use
Its definitely the only main use of the allay, so hopefully people find lots of use in this item sorter
Would this work if there are 2 rows of the item sorter or would the allays be confused with which noteblock to follow? Im not that sure how allays get assigned to noteblocks so any tips would help!
shoutout this guy
Hello there!!!
I love this set up and am using is. Are you aware of any reason why shulker boxes end up in the overflow/trash depot?
Cheers

In order to make in work with the same item in a row (like 7 bows for example) I increased the hopper clock to 10 blocks and use honey cube to align item with the Allays. Except these 2 little changes it worked like a charm. Thanks a lot
What do you mean by honey blocks ? To align them. Mine only picks up maybe 5 things and then doesn’t work after - on bedrock
@@shanehamilton4798 Hi, I am on java. I use honey block because the item were too far from the side where the ally are. I also increse the timer because item were to quick to arrived and the allays misses some of them.
Amazing, as always. One question, can I put more than 5 chests for each module? If so, how many? Thanks!
Your videos are really cool and so inspiring, I feel like I want to make my own Minecraft videos but I can't because I'm on mobile. PE you might add.
Glad you like them so much! Maybe one day you will be able to make videos of your own :)
@@Eyecraftmc Thanks a lot
Quick question: can I use barrels instead of chess because I’m going to make a sorting system using this design for every item in the game and there would be so many chests that it would be laggy. Btw love your videos!
You could although of course it would have half the storage capacity
@@Eyecraftmc I’m ok with that because I’m planning to use shulkerboxes in the barrels for extra storage thanks
@@fatihyoldas2597 I'm not sure if you're on Java or if this even applies to Java but I'm Bedrock you can power a barrel which would lock your Hopper so just be careful but it should be a lot less laggy than chess
How does this work with enchanted books? Will they pick up any and all books or do they see every enchantment as a different item?
Hoo boy. I definitely need to figure out how to get an iron farm working in Bedrock so I can build 500 hoppers.
Having troubles getting allays to consistently pick up items? The dispenser placement is critical. It must be opposite the side of the trap doors so that the items flow down the water stream right next to the trap doors. The same way done in the video. Placing the dispenser same side, above, or below the trap doors, or at the head of the water stream will greatly reduce the reliability of the allays picking up the items (like 40% instead of 100%)
THANK YOU!
I feel like this would be Interesting attached tp a mob farm, so you can get the gold armors and random stuff, and even linked it to an auto smelter so you you get 100% profit.
But then again, at that point of the game you probably have invited gold and iron (farms duh) so why to bother with a few nuggets, thus the only point I can see of making non-stackable sorters is for fun (and I'm definitely making one at some point)
Kinda sad cuz basically it's the Allay only real use. But hey, that's the whole point of minecraft!
But incredible machine, very interesting and fun to understand. Hope the Allay gets more updates in the future,
I ended up just making modules that present shulker boxes that you can open. Each module has an unstackable item that I want to keep all the rest of the unstackables that I don't want after I get to the last module will get thrown away I can go through two double chests of shulker boxes pretty quickly doing it this way. My modules just consist of a shulker box presenter and a minecart Hopper underneath the player that you throw the items out of that shulker box that belong in that slice they then go back into a shulker box loader and get repacked it's not full auto but I can do it rather quickly and get back to doing what I want instead of afking at something that doesn't produce me drops waiting for the items to sort
Hey is it possible to put a allay section between normal sorting so going from to allay sorting to normal sorting ?
So I only really need to sort 2 kinds of unstackables bed and totems
Question:if I just have those two could I have it so 3 alleys have totems and the other 2 had bed will that work or do thay all have to be different items
Question, can you have multiple allays with the same non stackable item, I want to make one for my raid farm with totems
Will I disrupt the system for allay or non stackable item flow if I make the water stream 8 blocks long vs 5?
Yeah man... I think I'll just sort my chests the old fashion way. Myself.
Lol.
How you came up with this is beyond me. Major props.
Could you make a guide for maps like everything on how to use them
Can you go from alley to stacked items or only stacked items to alley
Quick question (pls ask not why, but rather why not)
Can I put the modules in the following order and it will function fine? (im worried about the Allay part)
so: Hopper Sorting > Allay > Hopper Sorting > Junk section / Overflow
Same question man i hope somebody answers
Great now I just need one of these in real life.
Could you explain how a multi-item sorter works?
Warning!!!! - You have to be within a certain distance of the allays in order for them to pick up the items. For example, I have 3 modules of stackable items for sorting and then it splits off into the redstone clock module and then 2 allay unstackable item sorter modules. This results in 6 total modules of 5x5 chests. I am about 24-30 blocks away from the last allay in the unstackable item sorter and it WILL NOT pick up my items (which are totems). To clear this up if it's a bit confusing, I am 24+ blocks away and my allay will not pick up my last item in my sorting process, which is totems. If you are further than 20-30 blocks from the allay, they will ignore the item and it will sit there in the water and despawn. Beware of this! This could be because I'm playing on a server, I don't exactly know about single player but definitely watch out for this because it was not mentioned anywhere in the video. Waste of my time!
Question how would I be able to connect this allay sorter to my old sorter??
Eyecraft I've done everything how you showed and the alleys aren't taking the items. What should I do?
And this ladies and gentlemen I the reason why the alley needed to win
@eyecraftmc is there a world download
work with shulkeur with somthing in it ?
Can it sort multiple items per row of chest?
Okay i'm not gonna lie, I had to play this at .5 speed to follow along without rewinding as much and it became hilarious
So im pretty sure i built this exactly as shown and the chests in the last section of the stackable junk chests are filled up and my other items are just sitting the the hoppers. Any tips for how to fix this or is that how its supposed to be? Please help :(
I would love to see a tutorial on how to make a sorter for items that stack up to 16. Recently I've made a sorter for my honey farm, and while the honeycomb is being sorted successfully, the honey bottles remain unsorted and just go down any hoppers available. Would be even greater if it was one block wide!
You could just use allays if I’m not mistaking
@@H8MyM8Botbi I don't have any yet. I'm waiting for 1.19.1 to release so I could duplicate them right away.
The standard item sort works for 16 stackables... tileable and everything designed by impulseSV
@@quinnjooss396 but in the standard one you have to put 41 or so items in the first slot. How many items should be put in a 16 stack filter then?
@@outcast4087 Can you just add more blocking items in the back of the hopper? I thought the idea was the comparator counted the signal strength, so if you were to add 10 blocking items to each of the four slots the hopper would sort item from 5
How difficult would it be to take this design and stack it instead of a giant wall. I want a system that goes from top to bottom. Just everyone does the big wall design
Problem is that it's more trouble than it's worth. How will you figure out what level to send the items to when you can simply just send them across a water stream
If I build this for every item in the game and the items need more than 5min to travel to the correct spot will they despawn or does the floating count as a reset so they don’t despawn?
Thats why we use blue ice buddy lol
use dolphins to reset the timer
Does the single item part work on Bedrock (Xbox)?
is it ok to use blue ice instead of glass under the water flow? or will that make the items flow faster than the allay could pick up?
The second guess is right
Do you need the converter, or can you just have one junk section at the very end?
For anyone wondering, the reason you want the converter is that the Allays cannot actually sort items that fast. So, what you need is a way to slow down the item transportation, and while doing that you can separate the stackable items out with the converter. Otherwise, you could get your system backed up with items and cause problems. You can have only one junk section at the very end by routing the stackable items around the allay section straight to a junk section at the end. This way you only have one junk section.
They’re like mini Oompa Loompas
Just to confirm if I give an allay a mending book it will pick up every enchanted book or just mending. And if it does pick up every enchanted book is it possible to make an item sorter that seperates books by enchantments?
it will pick up all enchanted books, there is no way to seperate the enchantments currently
can we have a shematic plz ?
Damn, for me, anything with redstone anything seems so intricate.
Btw, would you consider doing a guide for maps and cartography? I've followed your guides zealously since I came back, but I can't seem to get the level of detail you have in your guides.
I don't call building all that necessary. All you would have to do is have a dropper facing down, put a cobweb under it, and put a soul sand and soul fire a few blocks below it to burn unwanted items, and surround it with trapdoors so Allays don't get stuck in the cobweb or fire. Make a noteblock in the wall with three hoppers in front of it but one block below it, funnel those hopppers to a chest that's not in the place where allays bring the items in the hoppers, and finnally cover it with glass so allays don't escape but the chest should be outside of it. If there is only one unwanted item, you can have the noteblock the allay drops the items to leading to a dropper into soulfire on soulsand, and the items that don't get picked up get picked up by a hopper into a chest. Much more simple.
Can the allays sort items with different durability or enchantments, or do they have to be totally identical?
They can only tell the difference between items of the same main type so for instance a fully enchanted diamond sword would be picked up by an allay that had a 1 durability unenchanted diamond sword. So if it is at all a diamond sword for example it would pick it up, it doesn't have to have any other characteristics the same
@@Eyecraftmc That is excellent! Thanks for the speedy response :D
Can they tell the difference between 2 different enchantement books ?
Like if I wanna sort Fortune and Mending ?
anyone able to help? im having issues with the allays and them not picking up any items that ive given them (the items are unstackable, have not been name changed and are unenchanted) i have rewatched the video a few times and double even triple checked the whole section. The alleys are in the right spots too. any one have any clues to why? the items just flow past them, even removing the water and throwing the item in front doesnt change anything.
On bedrock for whatever reason, allays refuse to pick any type of items up after being put in minecarts.
The allays can be holding literally anything but won’t detect them, the second they are out of the minecart they will detect it though.
This is definitely a parity issue and its so lame because i made followed your whole tutorial properly and even added 2 extra walls on the opposite sides with an extra 5 allays sections instead of 3.
I thought i did pretty good but i guess not, hopefully you even see this buddy.
Thank you for making a extremely good tutorial just sad the game is broken.
Also with this machine to get them into place doesnt work very well for some reason because they try to pick things up through the slabs so you need to use full blocks as temporary blocks infront of the slabs but thats not the big of a deal, also the redstone that powers the bottom dropper for the converter section doesnt work properly so i had to fix that too but thats fine aha
For bedrock I had to trap them in the hopper with a slab, they would pick up the item but wouldn't throw it down in the minecart.
Could you lead them to fences nearby ?
Hi plz reply I hope it’s not too late lmao. How did you fix the redstone at the bottom dropper? Items get stuck there for me as well. Second works and pushes up but not the bottom one
I keep trying to get this to work, but none of the allays pick up the items. I made a 5 allay segment and have the unstackable fishing loot for them to sort, but nothing gets picked up. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?
This system is extremely unreliable, if the allay look away when the item pass by, they won't pick it up. I tested it in creative in 1.19.4, it is purely base on luck for picking up the items
minecraft needs a usable server player peaceable edit sound block.
how to use - player places it down click on it setts distance say 300 blocks filter out redstone sound -0 , cows sound -2 , ect.
so if u rather not hear something in a place you use the most.
The allays are having a really difficult time picking up the items from the water while in the minecarts, any suggestions?
Same here, you found any solution?
@@EvilQwack I gave up on this system sadly.. the allays are too laggy and the system ends up too bulky to be practical
If you’re looking for a limited but more compact system, check out CommandLeo’s unstackable sorter
Does this also work in bedrock edition?
How do you place a hopper without opening the other hopper you are pointing at instead?
crouch and place it
Need the Allay's to be the end of the system, or could i remove the trapdoor and let it go further (I want to make an all item sorter) so i want tto keep in mind the time that the items need to get into chests bc the items despawn after i thiunk 5 minutes
Unless your auto storage is 500 blocks long you won’t run into that issue. The items spend most time in the hoppers waiting at dropper elevator. They are only “loose” for about 20 seconds
i watched this video and the other one, can you or anyone pls explain whats the difference between the regular sorting system and the allay sorting system?
Stackable and non stackable items
Is there a world download for this?
I just don’t get it I can’t get it to turn without it overloading that section, tried so many differnt water solutions does anyone have answers ?
Oooorrrrrr make a compact infinite sorting system which you never have to expand and uses significantly less resources and is exponentially more efficient compared to other sorting systems the more you “expand” it aka just adding another chest minecart
Eye... Surely you don't need the gedget to tell if it's stackable or not since none stackable items are at the end only they will arrive there by default. Meaning you only need the hopper clock, or similar device to give the signal strength to set the right speed and that can be done verticality to save space.
but if u put too much stackable junk, the system that sends items in intervals will overflow and break it eventually
Could you add a chest or 2 before the dispenser to mitigate.
@@swj020 true but a comparitor and lava puddle will fix that
@@bengeiser3646 I'm not sure if that would help, but give a go in creative. Can't hurt either way if you got spare resources.
If we have to make a sorter for 600 items with this. Will our game lag
the single use i have for allays is this very specific scenario. to sort totems of undying. nothing else. for me they are useful but only for this specific task. which is kind of... weird.
What is the music at 30:23
Is it works in minecraft bedrock?
ik im a little late but i hv a question... do i need a convertor if i dont hv a junk chest
You need the hopper clock connected to the noteblocks and to the dispenser at least as that makes the allays connect to the noteblocks and dispenses items for them at a rate they can handle
@@Eyecraftmc ok ty
love the design, works great
but overflow completely kills it and I can't find a solution
Does this work in bedrock edition

Does this work in bedrock?
The Allays are fighting me on this. Their carts keep turning in place and they're not picking things up. It's on bedrock, and I'm trying to work it ouy.
Allays won’t stay attached to leads on my game
This works on bedrock?
I'm having a really hard time capturing the allays with the system, they can grab the cobblestone from too far away.
yo I built a 1-wide tileable version lmk if ur interested
Is it imposible to sort unstackable items without allays?
For the majority of unstackables, yes. Try looking up an unstackable item sorter before the minecraft version where allays come out. There shouldn’t be any except for ones dedicated to certain categories of items with special mechanics that allow them to be sorted.
Does this system work on bedrock edition been trying to design one myself by failing because minecraft wiki doesn’t have enough information

Stackable yes, allay part is 50/50
