A Million Little Pieces dives into the life and mind of author James Frey (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and his struggle with addiction and follows his white-knuckle journey to recovery and redemption.

Bacall McElroy no it wasn’t. However it came out that some events didn’t happen exactly as they were written or that the author embellished some parts. So ppl were furious and Oprah confronted the writer about the book because she put the book in her book club. So she and others felt lied to. Honestly I don’t think today the book would have gotten the backlash it got back them. I think it was a purer time when ppl believed that when a story says “based on a true story” they wanted things to be 100 accurate.
So weird how much older she is than Aaron. Idk… that dynamic is weird.
