  • There are many springs that hold the name Blue Spring in Missouri, but only one holds the title for biggest, bluest, and the deepest in the Missouri Ozarks.
Delving to the depths of 310 feet, this spring is unfathomably deep. At one time it was thought to be bottomless. To get a sense of how deep it is the Statue of Liberty in New York City is 305 feet.
Blue Spring in Shannon County near Powder Mill Campground and Owl’s Bend on the Current River is the 6th largest spring in Missouri with an average daily flow of 90 million gallons. Although, this is much less than Van Buren’s Big Spring just down the river, the natural setting is less busy than Big Spring.
Blue Spring is one of the few springs on Current River that is still managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation, although it works closely with the National Park Service to in sure accessibility for visitors.
Alley Spring, Rocky Falls, Klepzig Mill and Shut Ins, Jacks Fork River, and the scenic town of Eminence are all just a short drive from Blue Spring.
Special Thanks to the interesting exploration being done by the Ozark Cave Diving Alliance. Make sure to check out their website for some great info on the springs of Missouri www.ocda.org

It’s absolutely a good one! Aww to be able to visit here on a regular basis, especially during the changing seasons would be great 👍

FYI Blue Springs is no longer Missouri's known deepest spring. Recent exploration has shown that Roaring River Springs is deeper. Divers reach 472 feet deep and had to stop and ascend due to dive plans. but Blue Springs is definitely prettier.

It would be very cold 🥶, There is a spring called Roubidoux Spring, which I believe is legal to swim in.

Since when and says who 🤔
When we were there there was scuba divers, us, other folks. Now we didn’t swim around like a pool, too cold for that, but you can lounge in
