- Eliz Fulop had just boarded a United flight from Denver to Newark, New Jersey with her husband and their 2-year-old daughter Edaline. Edaline was not wearing a mask, though the airline told the family she was required to wear one. Husband Erhard tries putting a mask on the toddler, but in true 2-year-old fashion, she wasn’t having it. When a crew member told them they had to get off the plane, Eliz was in shock. She says they have flown United four times before during the pandemic without issue. #InsideEdition

I kept my kids in line while flying. They didn’t kick seats or run up snd down the aisles. I talked to them beforehand and told them what was happening and why. Don’t blame the airline, blame the parents.

In all fairness, there has never ever been a mask mandate in the history of time and this it’s extremely difficult to adjust to; it especially feels unnatural for a toddler to wear. My opinion is avant-garde and no one will agree but- they should have just let the family stay on the flight. The hassle of trying to enforce a sudden mandate is challenging and it’s not always going to transpire how the airlines desire.

They should’ve lied and said the girl was less than 2, like 20 months or so! Then she wouldn’t have had to wear one and wouldn’t have gotten kicked off the plane and besides kids less than 2 years old were not required to wear a mask!

@Dennis Estrada even the cdc doesn't recommend masks for children 2 and under, at the daycare I work at it's anyone 4 and older our 3 year olds don't even wear masks. It makes me angry when things like this happen cause children at age 1; the age I work with; don't understand the concept of wearing a mask and they'd have trouble keeping it on let alone a 2 year old. We had one child who's 2 test positive for Covid and come right back to school with no mask after he and the rest of that classroom quarantined, and no problems afterword 😤😠🤷🏼♀️

That's not free range parenting. Free range parenting means a child who is old enough to go to the neighborhood playground without adult supervision can do so and expect the cops not to come after them, snatch them, and bring them back to the police station. This is just a baby not wanting to wear a mask which, surprise, happens a lot. My little sister wore one just fine but most of the other babies around us ripped them off and started playing around with them.
