- This gameplay tutorial for Mechwarrior Online shows you how to utilize your Mech to it's best extent. I'll give you a rundown of the build and what it is made for and show you the actual combat role in two games on the battlefield.
Mechwarrior Online is a competitive first person shooter where you build and pilot massive Mechs and prove yourself on the battlefield. The game is based on the Battletech franchise, which originally was a science fiction tabletop game in the 80s. Big part of the game is configuring your loadout and find the best match of missile, ballistic and energy weapons for your playstyle. The weapon variety ranges from devastating autocannons over particle projectors to deadly arrays of laser beams. On the battlefield your team of 12 Mechwarriors fight the enemies on rather small arena-type maps. Teamwork is crucial here because a single Mech does not survive long if it steps in front a full firing line. Communication and teamwork is key on your journey to glory and victory.

I am using Haven Kendrick's Soundpack! Download it here: / haven_kendrick . To install, simply locate your Mechwarrior Online installation folder, open "Game" and you will see lots of .pak files. Drop the sound mod file into that folder with the other .pak files, restart the client, and you are good to go!

I remember when me and a three other buddies decided to be a "plague of Locusts" and run around with four of them. This was pretty similar to what I was using.
We were an absolute menace, especially ganging up on any slow movers that got isolated.

All honesty, I prefer Baradul's MWO vids to TTB. Bara at least seems to genuinely enjoy the game.
Baradul seems like he’s actually having fun regardless of what is happening in the games while TTB seems to have more of an “Elitist” mindset and is yelling at everyone if he isn’t topping the charts. Both are amazing players, but Baradul is more fun to watch.
Ambition can get in the way of fun
Do not let the invasive thoughts win and put 4xRL20 and a ML on this mech.

I have of course, toyed with it. It's the other missile version, my LoLcust that kept them. 2 RL20s, 2 Mpulse. With the warhorn that laughs when I die. Just for when I wanna have a good time.

I've been skilling up this mech all week. Super cool to see a daily dose for something I'm actively working on and playing with. This mech is a beast if you can do it right.
I also love seeing non-hero or otherwise "free" mech builds being showcased.
I hate seeing a great baradul build only to learn I gotta spend real money to do it.

He slowed it down, bad move in a locust. He probably only gained half a ton, if that.
Ludicrous speed is the Locust's forte, never make one slower. Reduce firepower? Sure. Reduce armor? Might as well. Reduce speed? NEVER!

Let's be fair. The Locust has no internals, everything is pretty much external. As such, it is pretty much a walking heat sink. It should get bonuses to cooling the faster it moves. That would make for some interesting builds.

You cant hit them. To small siluet.
Run streaks. They eat light mechs up. My bushy is a SSRM 20 & LPPC carrier and I usually protect the fatties from lights.

try stone rhino 4 with 4xlb20x, once shots lights, or streaks if you have bad aim. atms work nice too but have minimal range
