I have to respectfully disagree with the hate on the darker gray/charcoal suit. I think they're great especially if you work in a more professional setting to wear compared to a lighter gray. Personally for me if I have to pick only 2 suits it'd obviously be a nice crispy navy suit and darker gray/charcoal suit as I view them more versatile in most scenarios like in the workplace, weddings, interviews, night out, etc.
I just dont like blue, it bores me to tears.
I recommend dark gray as anybodys #1 suit
But like he said, skin color and personality can make a big difference
No tan suit? The tan suit with suede loafers is a summer staple for me

Just wanting to have appropriate suits for formal and professional situations:
2 summer patch pocket soft shoulder suits navy, mid grey
2 winter patch pocket soft shoulder suits flannel charcoal, mid grey
1 3-season English cut flap pocket suit in navy or charcoal
5 summer sport coat w/ odd trousers (linen, seersucker set optional)
5 f/w sport coat w/ odd trousers (corduroy, mohair, etc.. set optional).
Sounds like a winning wardrobe!
I wear flannel suit and silk suit and light wool suit

2..light in color
3...double breasted very light in weight

It doesnt look as good on pale skin for casual use, a paloid will look like the addams family but a latino will look cool
