  • Today I'm spending $100 in Riyadh, starting with a local breakfast, and moving along by discovering the city and its malls. For lunch, I try the country's famous fast food chain called Al Baik.
I'll end my day by having a great dinner and meeting my friend @worldnomac who tells me about his journey in KSA.

Those plastic bags are biodegrade, and there is a law for all the plastic bags to be biodegradable, they turn into pieces within months after being exposed to heat and humidity, but still they should use less.

If you ask an expert in that matter in any Saudi municipality and the world, they will till you other wise. Biodegradable plastic bags are a lie just because it crumbles that doesn’t mean it’s going anywhere.

Btw they will open the first metro line in early 2024 😅 so you don't have to worry about them 40 dollars next time lol. In total there's 6 lines underground, street and above level for the train... 95% of the metro and stations are finished and if you're in Riyadh long enough you always see them testing it, also the bus network started working. There's a seventh line that would be add in upcoming years that would link few areas that are being built right now! By 2030 this city will be sooo different when the other mega projects finish.

2:20 please get your facts straight. That’s roughly the total population which includes contract migrant laborers and foreign nationals living in saudi. More than 41% of that population are immigrants and don’t have any benefits in the country except to work even though they do most of the heavy lifting. Literally.
