What’s up with those gorgeous baby blues? Plus, where did all this hair come from??
11 Week Old Baby Milestones 👶
Your baby’s vision has also come a long way since birth, and he is now able to see in color! Because he is still working on contrast, bright colors and patterns will excite him over lighter, more pastel colors. Now is the time to really show your little one the colorful world that surrounds them!
That’s not the only sense baby is using-baby is now using ALL of his senses to explore the world around him! He is able to make connections in his brain that help in the recognition of particular sights, sounds, smells, and tastes! Keep your little one stimulated by providing experiences that engage all of their senses, helping them to form important brain connections for memory and recognition.
You at 11 Weeks Postpartum 👩
Hair, hair, everywhere! Have you noticed your brush and shower drain are full of hair?! Around this time, some mamas notice some postpartum hair loss-not to worry, it’s totally normal!
Due to the increased levels of estrogen during pregnancy, your hair remained in place (giving you that voluminous, beautiful pregnancy hair!). Right around the three-month mark, however, many women notice that all that pregnancy hair begins to shed, and shed, AND SHED! I found that I lost a lot more hair postpartum with my girls than I did with my boy-probably due to the bigger estrogen drop.
My hair finally stopped falling out around 9 months, but it was a scary time and I learned a thing or two during the process! So much so that I put together a Hair Rescue ebook that includes all of my best evidence-based protocols to prevent, reverse, and/or grow back postpartum hair loss.
In the meantime, try not to stress and know that this too shall pass. (Most of the time, our hair is thrown up in a messy bun anyway, amiright?! #momhair)

I don't understand what you said in the beginning about screens. You said screens aren't good for baby's brain development, but it's ok to have them in the same room as the screen while you watch TV?

I use to love tummy time and I could hold my head up well at 11 weeks old.

Just wanted to say, I've really enjoyed watching your videos they're very informative and give me something to go off while working on helping my baby with her milestones. Faith is beautiful and our babies are so similar! Our baby Hadley absolutely hates tummy time!! We bought a baby tummy time pillow and it's made tummy time so much more fun! She still gets the whole experience but she is propped up and is able to see more, also her pillow makes crunchy sounds and has stuff she can try suck on if she gets the chance

Do you have any advice on how to set the rythm for the baby now with time change and subset time around 5pm next week? She will be 12 weeks then.

I'm curious what timeframe your 8 hour stretch was? Mine was doing this, but I was told if I didn't breastfeed her between 2-3am, my supply would start to dip. So now we're waking her up again, but I'm very concerned she's not getting enough sleep and this might be why she's not hitting her milestones yet. ie: she's not lifting her head during tummy time yet.

Doing that 2-3 am feeding IS super important for your supply in some cases and shouldn't deprive them of that much sleep. A good timeframe for an 8 hour stretch is 7pm to 3am. Hope that helps!

Is it normal for babies to have growth spurt at week 11? Baby is getting more clingy and fussier than usual and can only be soothed by nursing. 🥴

Download the Wonder Weeks app! It will help you predict and understand your babe's growth spurts.

All of your videos are about your baby's development as opposed to general human developmental milestones. Just saying
