- Your little one is two months old! Are you having fun yet? This month, you may be seeing social smiles, small chuckles, and beginning to bat at toys. In this video, I walk you through exactly what is developmentally appropriate for a two month old baby or infant and what research-based practices say to look for in order to identify possible delays. The Ages and Stages Questionnaire was very helpful for me during my daughter's development and I hope this video is helpful to you, too!

Very helpful!!! Thank you so much for this video and examples provided 🙏🏻
Thank you for clarifying the timeline at the end! My little one just turned 1 month 3 days ago and I know what to look for and encourage🙏
My baby was a month early, he's a month old now and he does most of these already!! Not all, but a lot of them
❤❤❤ thank you for breaking it down especially the last part of 2 months and 24 days ❤❤❤
Thank you!❤
This was very helpful, thank you!
Happy to help!
My baby is almost 2 months old she is doing everything. She can lift her head but not much yet but we are encouraging it and doing tummy time 3-4 times a day
I’m 35 and barely passed
😂
😂
Answered all my questions. Thank you
Happy to help!!
My 6 weeks baby does everything
My baby is 1 month and is killing this
Very helpful thank you !
Happy to help!
Thanks for this my baby is 2months can do most of this
Very helpful we are almost @100
Great vid! Thx!
I hope it helped!
Thank you for showing examples! We have our 2 month check up this week and the pediatrician had us fill out the questionnaire and I wasn’t sure exactly what it meant by certain questions. It was super helpful to see examples!
Happy to help! I’m a visual person too!
Jeez, all my pediatrician does is check my baby's weight and length and listen to her heart. Literally nothing else.
Wow,very helpful.
My son's almost 7 weeks and he's doing most of these things already. He started social smiling at 5 weeks
Mind too I'm just scared is that normal??
@@gracevicky8345 yes!!! :)
Mine too 😮😮❤
@@gracevicky8345 he's probably too smart for his age you should go and check him out immediately
mine started smiling at 4 weeks 😀
My surviving twin was born at 23 weeks in the NICU for 5Months. He will be 6months actual 2months adjusted on Sunday. He’s very much still in his newborn stage.
NICU grads definitely have a slightly delayed development, and even with adjusted age, a little one as premature as that age might need some extra time. Focus on what your pediatrician recommends because your little dude is already a champion for hanging on and growing strong from only 23 weeks gestational age!
Wow that's amazing he was born at 23 weeks and lived!! What was his weight when he was born?
Excellent video. Very helpful. Thanks 👍🏾😊
Happy to help!
Just did the ASQ for ECI. This was very helpful to see examples. We are exactly 2 months and definitely failed 3 of the sections. Makes me feel better that we might still have more time of it goes to 2mo 30days.
Those 29 extra days can make a HUGE difference! I always “test” Mina on the last day before her next month Milestones for the most accurate picture.
So if my baby is 1 month and 29 days and failed some sections, we still have one more month to achieve them?))😊
Are these milestones to be achieved in 2 months or 2 months 30 days ?
@@GinnyBeeEdD my baby is 1 month and 3 weeks but miss some sections what to do am worried
Wow my son is doing well
My 2 month does all of this but when he sits up his head is pretty wobbly still. Is this normal? When I hold him he holds his neck just fine. More tummy time?
Where can I get that tummy time pillow
um if my 10 day old is passing the first 3 categories what in the world does this mean?
Gosh but you look like a young Heather Graham?( The actress who played Felicity shagwell in Austin Powers).
I was watching for the information regarding my latest ( no.8) grandchild ❤, another little girl ❤, have one little grandson amongst the girl's 🥰🇦🇺
I need to get some toys lol 😂 I just realized we don’t have any other than books we read
Can we ask maybe a copy or link of your list of questions ? I’m a Daddy of a 2.2 month old baby boy :)
My baby does this at 2 weeks
Yes
My one does nothing..she is five weeks + now😢
For some of the categories, you only gave 5 questions for a maximum total of 50 points. Are there some missing questions..? In the Gross Motor category, for example, my daughter scored 40 even though the minimum is 41 points but if we had a 6th question I’m sure she’d be above the minimum.
That is a great question, and apparently I'm silly and forgot a few! So sorry about that! (And i'm going to pin this in case anyone else encounters the same problem!) Here are the ones I forgot to mention: Communication - Does your baby smile when you talk to him? Gross Motor - While your baby is on her back, does she move her head from side to side?
My baby is 27 days she did all of them😄😄😄
That’s awesome!! Keep working on them with your little lady!
Genius 😂
My baby does everything except for on his tummy he doesn't turn his head from right to left he tries to he still haven't heard lift it up and drop it right back down he hasn't mastered the control of his head yet
Do you know if other milestone systems that talk about "2 month" infants also run through the END of the 2nd month like this questionnaire? Like you said, those extra 30 days (50% of their life at this point!) makes a big difference!
I believe they do, yes! (Specifically speaking of the CDC guidelines!)
My baby is 3 weeks and does most of this
Sounds like they’re on the right track, that’s great!
Thanos
My baby just turned 4 weeks and she’s passed every category at 100% 😌
For real?
if my baby scored a 60 for all category, does this mean his a genius?
Why are cut offs 41 or 33 but can score in increments of 5-10 pts
I wish I knew. 😂 I always thought the same!
Hi mommy! Thankyou for this helpful videos.. i also have 2.5 baby and i thnk i didnt notice her grabbinh her clothes but instead if she is annoy or want to sleep she always grab her hair
It’s always so interesting to me how different every single child is! Even my own two are so different!
Hello,
Are these milestones supposed to be completed right at 2 months or at the end of their 2 months? I went to the pediatrician today a week before he’s actually 2 months and she was saying that he didn’t meet the milestone for smiling. I told her that he won’t be 2 months until June 26th. I didn’t think to ask her if these milestones needed to be completed before he’s 2 months or or when he getting ready to turn 3 months.
Great question! They are measured through the end of the month! So 2 months and 30 days.
@@GinnyBeeEdD wow so that means I still have time to work with him ☺️🙃
@@Chfhfh Those 30 days can make a HUGE difference!
@@GinnyBeeEdD thank you soo much ☺️
This is helpful. I been scared honestly. My first child has gene mutations and was delayed and now worried about my daughter bc we didn’t know before I was pregnant me and dad carry them. 😢
I wish you showed more images of the milestones
Hope this isn’t a ridiculous question lol
2 months is a 8 week old baby right? So if the questions are for 2 months and 30 days it would be closer to the 3rd month right? Sorry first time Mom here lol baby is 5 weeks hehe
This is a very valid question, and basically, yes! I made a point to include how the actual growth measurement chart counts "2 months" so that parents wouldn't panic if their child can't do all of these things yet! 30 days makes a HUGE difference developmentally so I wanted to make sure the appropriate time frame was included. Check out my one month video for some "just turned two months" milestones. :)
You lost weight from the first video how did you do it?
I breastfed and take the girls on a daily walk. I am fortunate that worked for me!
my 2 months old baby scores everything 100%
That’s great! Keep doing what you’re doing!
Lol
Great. My baby is overperforming. 100% score....
Sounds like they’re right where they need to be right now!
All babies are not going to be doing the same thing at the same time if your baby is not doing this at 2 months he may do it at 3 months and it's okay
great information thanks for sharing! check us out for additional information on child development.
