DELIA: While vacationing at a tropical resort, a cynical and unhappy young man meets a beautiful young lady who speaks cryptically about the many times they've met before. The two fall instantly in love, but the next day he cannot find her and the other resort guests claim he spent the evening alone.
Love how each episode is so different. I cannot stop watching them, I’m addicted. I only found these the other day, it’s the best programme ever. John Newland, is soooooo gorgeous. What I would call a real man, grrrrrrrr!!!

I believe vacation was more of an event in that era...aka the suits and ties, etc. Not supernatural, but I did have one event like this....my small town, walking to small grocery, met a girl walking towards me I did not know...I people in this town knew everybody. We caught an eye, I said hello, we started talking. Told me her name was Nichole, but call her Nikki...said she was staying with a family in town for the summer, and we should see a movie or something, and I was in heaven. Idiot me didn't ask what family and was too excited to get her number....for two weeks, I literally spent hours walking into every store on the little main street, driving around town at different hours to no avail. Finally, I stopped into this little restaurant in our town, just a cafe, simple food, etc. I had know the owner for years, and she sat at my table, told me she wanted to talk. Told me I was acting strange, what was up? I confessed everything, told her how silly it seemed, she laughed, said, "sounds like love at first sight"....I said, "yes, I think it was". Fast forward two years, my senior year in college, sitting in the library in some little cove (all old time libraries have those nooks and crannies) thinking, this time next year I will be working for a living.....got up to go to the restroom, turned the corner, and there was Nikki, standing at a shelf, looking at a book. I just stared, she turned, looked at me, mouth open, and I fell in love again. We hugged, she said "I've been looking for you for a year!!"....I said "Same!!"....we started dating, dated for two years before she moved to Germany for her work. Best two years......and still the weirdest coincidence of my life.....
SHE lives across the neighborhood street from you but just on Tuesdays. SHE'S ONE of five Sherrys. SHE was my "ANGEL" cat here before voyeurs demanded HER for their very own.

This episode reminds me of ancient legends where a mortal man falls in love with a beautiful fairy woman; the man either dies or goes away with the fairy woman to live with her forever in her magical world. The ethereal way that Delia is presented here makes me think the writers may have drawn on those stories to create this one.

Many years ago I dreamed I was in a room with ancient Egyptian sculptures. Some time passed.The day arrived for our 6th grade school trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. During the tour of the Egyptian exhibit, I stumbled upon the same room that I had dreamed about.

I had a similar experience in Egypt. I had many visions of how it would be when I would visit the Egyptian Museum, and that I would find an object that I didn't know about until then. I could even read the hieroglyphs in my vision.
After the revolution, when tourism had died down in Egypt, I could for the first time actually spend some time in the Egyptian Museum without getting squashed by tourists. And everything happened as I had seen it in my vision. I even found the object I had seen in my visions - with the same hieroglyphs on it that I had read in my vision.
There is more to this as I know who I was in my former life, but I can't go into more detail here as there's always some stupid fool making stupid comments.
JanieUnknownWriter I had a dream once that I would help build a high rise buildings elevator shaft and then later join the army and then buy a Dodge Challenger. Then one summer I was working on an amusement park in Moosic Pennsylvania and I’m in my bosses office with a group of other park workers and I told the boss about that dream and the elevator shafts and he told me if I build a high rise elevator shafts to write a message to him, and to write his name (John Rock) and the first two words of a song by Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin. Well I left that job come August 1980 drove home to NiagaraFalls NY and come September that same year gave a friend a ride to Miami dropping him off and returned to Tampa Florida and stayed with other friends got a job doing land surveying for two weeks went to a company picnic on a Saturday and on Sunday went to a bar and got hired in that bar to help build an 18 story Hyatt Regancy Hotel downtown Tampa. Well around the 3 or 4 floor of the elevator shafts I wrote with spray paint my Name and nick name (Slick) in two shafts and also “John Rock Blow Me” and my boss that hired me out of that bar got mad asking me why I wrote that about him ? And I told him I didn’t write that about You ! He then said Don’t lie to me, my name is John and everyone knows I’m a rocky kind of person !!!
Then I told him I wrote that about a boss I had at Ghost Town in the Glenn Amusement Park in Moosic Pennsylvania and my bosses name is John Rock and he asked me to write that !!!
Then John Frazier said again Don’t lie to me ?
And I told him I wrote his name on the back of the application for work as a reference, and John Frazier said that the Application is in Atlanta Georgia at the main office for Formwork Services and he can’t read it,
I told him you call the office there everyday ask the secretary to pull my application and read it to you.
Next day the second boss tells me to go to Mr. Frazier’s trailer he wants to talk to me. I knocked on the trailer door and went inside and he started yelling at me that he was fucking pissed because he never did this before ever in his life, he apologized for calling me a lier when I told him the truth, well I returned home to Niagara Falls in October 1981 and in December 1982 I joined the Army and went to Basic Training at Fort Benning Georgia January 31 till May 6 1983 then in June of 1983 I bought a Yellow Dodge Challenger just like in that dream and in 1984 I traded that same Dodge Challenger for a Hemi Engine that was under a tree 🌳 in high grass on the Indian Reservation junkyard that I found in 1969 just like in that Dream

Asking Delia when she was vaccinated was an odd first question. One also has to wonder why she couldn't be found back in the States. This was a somewhat different episode of the series with the program host being part of the story and not just doing the introduction.
This happened to me. I had grown up in a small town in Ohio and I knew every nook and cranny of that town and the surrounding area. I lived there until I was 13 when we moved away. I was about 21 when I dreamed I was flying in the air over the town and I could look down and see everything from above. I could see the whole town from the East to the West and along the riverbanks. Then I went further and I was floating along the sidewalk. I was there and looked people in the eye as I passed them on the streets. I looked in the shop windows. I heard a dog barking and I was right in the middle of town in a little park. I felt like I was sitting on a bench in the park. There were many other things that happened while I was there. I feel I was teleporting.
Absolutely possible to remote view a place. This has already been used by other countries with trained operatives and has been documented. The average person is likely to experience this while drifting very slowly off to sleep.
Nothing like going to a beautiful tropical island relaxing by the ocean strolling the pristine beach ,enjoying the warm breeze and fresh air while wearing a suit and tie

There are several recent documented examples of people's teleportation as they called it in this show, or astral travel, thru dreaming. But they aren't physically there. In one case, a woman kept dreaming she was walking thru her dream house at night, but the owner of that house did see her, but it looked like a ghost to her so she sold the house. It's a very interesting phenomenon.

I grew up watching shows like this in the 60's,....which is why I have little interest in TV today, even with 60 channels....
She didnt travel in time. She was having her dreams 8 years ago, when the man first got there and met her. What I cant believe is that nobody told her about what happened. IWhen she asked if the hotel gave out info on the guesta, I would have shown her the bracelet and told her how it came to be there. She DID say she had dreams of being there. How terribly sad !

Edgar Cayce who was dubbed The Sleeping Prophet, teleported frequently when he went into his trances via self hypnosis. He proved he did so time & again, describing in great detail the people present, what they wore at the time, & events happening within the time frame of his 'visits,' however he was not visible to anyone at anytime, not to say such a phenom is impossible. This is not teleportation. Teleportation consits of a body being transported across a distance in the physical. This was a girl who kept dreaming the same dream and in the sleeping state, while physically at home sleeping she projected an image of herself to the place in the dream . The dream image was sufficiently strong to feel solid to the man. But the image was not her real body.
Astral projection, I believe. A being in the physical realm but it made up of spirit.
@@jjkhawaiian Yes, that is correct. Astral projection is what I like to call a person's soul taking a walk around the block while his or her body remains at home. :)
I think she may have been dreaming, but that manifested her physical body to appear as if it were really there. Hence, why the bracelet was left behind.
One of the best episodes ever.

There is a frequently-occurring type of near-death experience that could be called teleportation - that of clinically dead patients being treated in a facility, who hover over their bodies as they're being worked on, and later, on resuscitation, can give accounts of everyone present, conversations held at the time, and so on.
Of course. We arent bodies. Were spirits in bodies. And sometimes we get outside.

@@thecandidcounterbalance1492 I don't think the spirit will ever die. I had a recent dream of me feeling what it feels like for the body to die. I witnessed this as a spirit. Then, I was able to relive the death state a few times. All of this was in a dream. A strange one, for sure. I didn't see a light, Heaven, or Hell, but felt surrounded by darkness as a spirit. I hovered over my dead body.

the acting is so top-notch you cant tell me if scripted or not - many of these episodes had their ideas lifted for major movies some decades later - of course giving no credit to this outstanding writing .........john newland is on par with rod serling but rather lost in time

The ending was rather different!
Delia said something terrible would happen. It did. He died before they could meet in the flesh.
So did either of these guys tell her about the man who waited for her and killed himself? Or did she just go thru her life totally ignorant that her dream had been real?
I also wondered that.

I love this episode.
He certainly had a violent streak and was possessive. Do you suppose she didn't want to be found by him and maybe was turned off by his personality. That's why she didn't give her last name. She then hid from him and told the personnel to not say where she was. I'm not saying this can't happen but I think she just didn't want to be found by him.

People talk about Astral Projection... but is there actually a prescribed methodology that experts suggest for this practice, or do you just try to "let it happen" spontaneously?
I don't know if what happened in this story was astral projection. I'm more inclined to think it was more of a precognitive dream that Philip and Delia kept having of each other. One thing's for certain, it wasn't teleportation.

The 1 thing I don't like about your show are the tiny pairs of lamps on the walls. Every time I see them I flash back to the old lady I used to work for. I've cleaned many of them. She was very cruel. Abusive. Insanely jealous of me. I see those fixtures and I want to rip them off the walls.
