Great review! I was just looking at a used one, and this definitely helped me make the decision.

Definitely is! If not for the batteries' short flight duration. Still delivers great 4K videos.

Great video, I have had my Mavic Air up in 20knot breezes and it handles them really well just doesn’t have as long a flight time instead of 18-20minutes more like 10-12minutes

I really appreciate the quality of this drone and personally own one. However, sourcing batteries at a reasonable price has become a challenge, leading me to consider decommissioning it. It's disappointing, especially after investing over 1.5K€ in the Fly More Combo and Goggles, to find it unusable after just six years. I believe the support lifespan is too short for the price paid.

A great little drone with decent specs even though its a bit long in the tooth. If you want some good shots and don't plan to fly very far, go ahead and buy one.

You have to register that drone even if you are using it for recreationally purposes. You need a Part 107 to use it commercially.
That little guy looks like a lot of fun, the flight performance looks like standard DJI quality.

I have one in white that looks so much like my wife's CHR Toyota that I got a little one inch Toyota emblem to go on the nose of the drone.

I own a Mavic Air but I had a stroke in 2022 and now it says it's not supported. Can I still get it up and running for casual flying? I'd hate to throw away a grand.

I’m not sure what Is but the cam quality on your drone is slightly off

Remember, you'll need an FAA device that broadcasts a drone ID. They cost about 100USD, so if you want to fly legally you'll have to get one.

    • @Wright.B.Hindya

@@nickcieslak2265 Unfortunately they did. Newer drones have a Remote ID built in, however if you fly an older model you will need to purchase a separate RID. Typically runs around 100usd for the cheaper versions but can go up to 300+. So make sure to do your research as the one for 100 is just as good and FAA approved as the ones for 300+. Keep up the good vids, Nick!

@@nickcieslak2265 as of late last year, yes the rules have changed. This has resulted in older drones without remote ID technology requiring the addition of a radio module in order to fly in the US.
