- Got to do this mid 60's GMC pickup over the summer and taped the part where i applied and burnished the leaf this is not really a how to video but this is my process when i gild. Hope you all enjoy

Since this is new to me, it would appear that leaf can be applied on top of clear coat or single stage paint that has been polished. I am sure it is done both ways I just don’t know what is common. To me, clear coat would add an extra layer of protection for your work. Very nice job!

Hi Mike i use a 2k automotive clear and just brush it on and i did it before any of the other paint work
Is there a certain microfiber cloth that you use?
just ones i pick up at the auto
parts store
