Little note from me-
This is not a paid promotion, nor am I sponsored, getting any type of kick back (like free paint) for doing this video about Hot Hues. I just really like this paint, it steps up to the plate and delivers great results. I use this and enamel in regular rotation for my work.

The amount of concentration is unbelievable outstanding both did an excellent job well done
Very informative 😃
Beautiful paints. You save time and paint.
Note: Let them produce a color you like and name it after you. It would be nice. Like "Hot Rod Jane purple."
Thank you guys for this! It’s been so tough to get the facts on urethane.
you are very welcome :)
20:42 Hot Rod Jen! Thank you for the videos. I am a farmer from the Muncy Hills in PA. Me n my nieces are learning how to pinstripe our fleet of International Harvester Scouts early ones. We sincerely appreciate this useful information. Someday would like to meet you. It is amazing to see someone in the snail trail business in the age of decal. God bless!!!
Fascinating to watch two absolute professionals!
Paul is amazing happy to be able to call him a friend.
Very nice explanations, very complete! Thanks so much! (love the metallics ❤)
Awesome video! I have been wanting to try this line of paint but didn’t know much about it. Thank you for making this video!!!
Wow I like it. Thanks 👍👍👍
Great product!! I've been using this paint for 10 years now, and learned a few tips from this video. Great job Jen and Paul!!
Thank you Art! it sure is a handy paint, glad you were able to pick up some tips from this.
Thanks...... now I'm gonna have to buy more paint and pick up a brush again.
Loved this video!
thank ya!
Great job you guys 🎊 🎉😊
I’ve had trouble clearing over some enamel paint. I think this could be an answer for that. I look forward to trying it out
thanks for the video, it was awesome
Great Product!!! I've been using this paint for 10 years and still learned a few tips from your video. Great job Jen and Paul!!
Metallics wow, I’ve never had a go one yet, hmmm👍🏼

Like 100❤ great job guys!
Thank you 🤗
Jen: Great video! I am a very amateur striper and I really appreciate the work you do. Thanks, David Adair
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks do much for posting this very informative video. You snd Paul did a great job of taking the mystery out of using urethanes.
Vi ontem, muito legal o vídeo.
ok ok ok! I'm sold. Time to buy a whole new system lmao. Has hot hues replaced you using one shot for most things?
For me I still use 1shot for a lot of things, some others have switched to HH only I personally feel there's a place for both types of paints. But most of my vehicle applications and all work going under clear coats is done with HH
@@HotRodJenPinstriping cool!! Would love to see a video on how you decide to which paint would be appropriate for which job. Trying a new paint can be so intimidating sometimes.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ ❤ !!!!!!
Thanks for the good information. Can you comment on the paint fumes when using urethanes? I’m told they are pretty nasty and good ventilation is key.
no lie, they are nasty. You will need good ventilation.
How is this product packaged? Does it come in the PET bottles or in traditional metal cans? Looks killer!!!!
it comes in a traditional metal can, it can be transferred over to bottles, that is what i normally do. but it also doesnt skin over in the can so there is no waste if you decide to leave it in a can.
I find you have to be careful with prepsol ,even after a few days ,it will take off the striping ,not enough hardener?
Hey Jen, what is that white chalk-ish pencil you use to make guidelines?? You’ve said it in an older video but im having trouble finding it. Thanks in advance!
Hiya, i use a Omnichrome penci by Steadtler. they are like stabilo's but don't melt while working in hot and humid temps. Link for them might be in my pinstriping for beginners video
Is there anything you can use on urethane to give them a flat finish i.e. a distressed sign?
yes there is a additive for the paint to make it flat i forget the # off hand. ill have to get back to you on the exact name/number.
I get a lot of bubbles when I work with the black? Any Tips?
How is this brand compared to House of Kolor striping paints?
in my opinion this one suits my workflow better than HOK, i currently do a lot of on top of clear work and this paint has a high gloss finish with no flat spots, and great durability. HOK is a really nice paint and i love the flow of it, but i think it falls short on a few things when we are talking about working on top of clear and lettering.
@@HotRodJenPinstriping thanks for your feedback. Your I hope to see more videos. Such valuable information 🤙
Huh, my axalta dealer where I get my auto paint said they discontinued hot hues...
They did not, it can be bought thru capp enterprises
@@HotRodJenPinstriping Thats funny, because last year, my guy told me this and started trying to make me sign paint out of nason lmao
Does Paul still sell the kits of those paints?
yes he does, thru the capp enterprise website :)
How do these urethanes perform when doing large built up letters?
I’ve been doing train cars and fire trucks with them with positive results, that’s the largest scale I’ve used them on when you say built up letters do you mean lots of layers?
@@HotRodJenPinstripingokay, good to know. I'm referring to large letters that need many strokes to be completed. Like say a 12-14" chunky letter.
Is activator and reducer the same thing?
No
Hello I am artist Rs Indian
hello!
It looks like you will use s lot less paint with this product.
i absolutely do use less paint, also it doesnt skin over so that is also a major plus👍
