Exactly why it's good to start now. Less demand for energy is a good time to get started on new energy projects. Especially since oil, which is needed to get these projects started, is very cheap. Start building green infrastructure while demand is low and resources are in surplus so the green energy is available when demand goes back to normal.

I watched them build a wind farm in Nevada, and you are right. Between the energy spent in manufacturing the things, shipping them from Europe by sea, rail, and special trucks, all the concrete trucks, water trucks, all the fuel burned by the workers to get to, from, and around the job site, all for a bunch of turbines that sit idle much of the time, it would have been better to not build the thing at all.

My brother, in Wyoming, is jobless because of this, he was let go 4 days ago. He has his own small company with 4 employees and now it’s just gone, they stopped his drill sites and others so his employees, himself AND many others are jobless. He has to go back to driving commercially delivering throughout the West Coast, he is extremely stressed and sad for his employees and his entire life has completely changed.
I fear this may show the more crazy greenies, a means to an end.

The fossil fuel industry receives government subsidies and in this scenario they are 'Walmart' and Green/renewable energy is a mom and pop store
No matter how clean the floors or pleasant the staff without at least a minimum equal subsidiary the scale is tipped.
People should do more and lead by example, at the same time they also live in society and do still have jobs that require air travel.

Ideally if you had more efficient electric cars being charged from a grid that is initially powerd by a nuclear fission plant before
A fusion plant is readily available technology.

When I went to college several years ago, it was a pure breeze getting through. Believe me, I struggled to get Cs in high school. In college, I was getting As and Bs consistently. All colleges care about these days is getting the kids money. And now years later, AOC is a product of colleges lowering their standards in order to maximize profits.

@@claydog21975 It may be anecdotal but college for me in the 90s was super super easy compared to high school in the 80s. Add to the fact that every year I was in school, colleges and universities all over were raising their tuition by 6% per year. I was paying attention too cause I was paying my own way. Money hungry. By the time I graduated, I was having to pay a good 20% more for the last year than the first year.
