I love the average punk shows up with the tuner car and thinks they are the king of the road, but in a real race against American Muscle they get their doors blown off

IMO, if you have a car that can't at least run low 12's, why bother? Especially of its something like a Subaru that would be fun to autocross or take to the track.

You can buy old civic ,strip it out to metal, mod they engine and do fast time. It a great platform for mods because you don't care about it, strip everything make it lighter, but people with expensive cars won't do it because it their daily, they need AC, AIR bags, radio, and back seats. I will never strip out my Mustang gt but if I have a civic, it will be strip to metal.

With $30,000 - $100,000 invested in that engine to make them fast....My 1985 Dodge Omni GLH with a 2.2 4 cyl Turbo, I changed the computer and added more boost it ran 12.60's all day long, in a stock car, engine was bone stock ,stock cam, stock head,besides computer .The car went 220,000 miles and was running fine when I sold it..I also had a perfect condition 440 6 barrel 'Cuda that was a bone stock ,looked showroom new and it ran 11.20's with better carbs.(magazine tested these brand new they ran low 12's with the 440 4bbl,mine had the 6 barrel...That magazine tested them when new,they added slicks but those had traction like a modern radial of today..it was new and stock it ran low 12's..with the skiny 14' 205,70 series tires they said they spun down the whole track then another time got 14 seconds lol,the car couldn't hook,so they picked up some slicks and Boom low 12's...also tested a 340 small block Cuda that ran 13.33 in the 1/4 )Now I have a Dodge HellCat Challenger that runs 10's with a big heavy,fully loaded car...Put that engine in a stripped 1996 Dodge Neon and it will run 7's all day long ! Or better !!
