    Your sell thru on Ebay is great. You are an expert in picking up poop (what other resellers think is garbage) and reselling it for a nice profit.

    I drove 33 minutes to my nearest good will the other day and WOW you are extremely gifted to have a packed good will! mine was extremely small and absolutely had nothing. I picked up a few things to resell for $10-$20 profit to make a few bucks for gas but it was a ghost town goodwill 😅

      @FlippingJunk  Před 7 měsíci +1

      That is a long drive for a Goodwill, but I actually like the smaller ones. It's all about pricing for me. As long as they price things low there's almost always opportunity.

    You should have grabbed that caterpillar toy @ 7:32 It is a STEM toy to teach coding to kids. Looks like it was just missing the start and stop signal pads, but selling it by itself you can still make money.

      I've bought them before, but this one was in rough shape or the price wasn't great. Can't really remember.

    I have to super hustle in SoCal to find affordable items with good profit margins at the thrift. Most of the time I'm paying up compared to prices all over the US 😅

    Hi Wick, another solid vid. Shoe question: Do you keep a drawer full of new shoelaces to replace any old ratty ones you find on a good pair of shoes/ boots? Or just sell as is?

    • @FlippingJunk
      @FlippingJunk  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I have a few laces, but usually sell as is. If it's a really good pair I'll replace though if needed.

    Hi on average how long does it take you to sell an item, month, 2 months. I know it depends but just in general. I've thought of getting into it but do not want to sitting on product for months

    • @FlippingJunk
      @FlippingJunk  Před 7 měsíci

      If you're very picky with what you buy and sell things cheaper than competitors, you can flip really fast. Good items at a low price can sell in less than a week or even in hours. Average items are going to take 1-3 months and some will take over a year. Someone like me sells many different items to keep a cash flow, so waiting a year on some items isn't a big deal.

      @FlippingJunk thanks for explaining, it's seems like there's is a lot of people doing this, and when I go to the local thrift stores I can pick out those customers as resellers. I think I ll start off slow see how it goes because the main concern is making sure goods ship timely to avoid bad scores from buyers along with good condition products if not sold "as is"

    Would you ever consider talking a leatherman or mini screwdriver with you to check out the electronics in items before purchasing?
    Heaps easier to check them out in store before purchasing as you won’t have to bin them or return them. (I repair the contracts myself if they don’t look too bad on valuable items)
    I’ve seen one guy who took in a fanny pack with all types of batteries and a small screwdriver set to test before purchase.

    • @FlippingJunk
      @FlippingJunk  Před 7 měsíci

      Yeah, I have considered doing that. Actually yesterday was thinking about putting a pack together. It's a must if your thrift stores don't allow returns, but most places I shop do allow 7 days to return items not working, so I haven't made the pack yet. Might keep one in the car this garage sale season, though.

    • @AarronChittock
      @AarronChittock Před 7 měsíci

      Yeah man I'm chronic at knowing it's a good idea (or option to have) but not putting a pack or carrying a mini screwdriver. I'm always in a rush but I now think I'm wasting more time taking the thing back to get returned as I'm going to have to open it up anyways at home. If you end up doing it would love to see it mentioned or tested out in a video.@@FlippingJunk
