When you are used to a certain lifestyle, it is hard to adapt to living in a different environment. I understand completely. My experience was seeing people who look like me constantly trying to scam and overcharge me. I actually was afraid to speak because once they heard my American Accent, they'd assumed that I had money. We don't have money to just give away. We have bills to pay every month, light bills, gas bills, water bills, mortgage and or rent and car note, car insurance, medical insurance. Someone told me that they wanted to come to America because we have free healthcare , i don't know who told them that lie. We pay for our own healthcare in America. Everything cost here and its a very expensive place to live compared to other countries. I was on vacation, so I did spend a little extra money, but I worked my butt off and saved for my vacation. Soon, I quickly realized that everyone was only befriending me to ask me for money. We are not rich people. What they think of as rich in America is not even middle class. We work 8 to 12hr shifts 4 and 5 days a week this is why we try to enjoy ourselves by spending a little extra in other countries. If i give all my money away to the people I meet on vacation , I would not have the money to enjoy my vacation. It's a beautiful place to visit but I don't think I would fit in there and feel at home while people plot to scam and nickle and diming me the whole time i'm trying to enjoy my trip. It's very uncomfortable dealing with that while trying to enjoy myself.
What an absolutely pathetic take...with all that Ghana has to offer, your biggest take is that some few people hussled you for money??? U make it sound like they chased you to your residence and were even in your bedroom.Yes that happens in a few places but stop exaggerating .There are husslers in specific places in America also....U obviously are prejudiced and conveniently found something to hang your prejudice on..U are not suited to be in Ghana and we surely don't want folks like you here either...My God it's f..king 2023..read and research more.

@@markowusu6643 That’s *his* experience, not to be discounted. Tony & Ayo themselves said exactly the same thing: the police want to be bribed & except it. Ayo said if you want your paperwork expedited, you have to bribe the office worker. Shopkeepers overcharge tourists. Tony said he blends in until he speaks, they hear his American accent & automatically assume he has lots of money & try to gouge him at the register. Sorry, but it just is what it is. No one wants to deal with that when trying to vacation there. Many of us work hard & save for a LONG time to be able to take a vacation - we are not rich, that’s a false assumption.

@@bumblebee4024And there are people who don't care in reality, there are those who just want to get over on the Black AMERICAN'S. And most BLACK AMERICAN'S are poor. I saw at least 2 commenter's reply's and they are speaking the TRUTH! EVERYTHING COST MORE IN THIS OVER PRICED COUNTRY, ILLEGAL NON-BLACK PEOPLE GET LOT'S OF HELP, BUT NOT BLACK AMERICAN'S! BLACK PEOPLE FROM THE CARIBBEAN HAVE TO WORK HARD AND SAVE LIKE BLACK AMERICAN'S AS A WHOLE, IT'S NOT EASY! BLACK AMERICAN'S ARE OVER CHARGED IN MANY AREA'S! I went to a Ghanaian boarding school as a little child and then mysteriously when we moved back to England I passed my 11+ straight off that must mean the education system is not that bad
Why do people have an issue with pointing out that the majority of people in Africa are black? It’s beautiful. It’s amazing. Our color should be celebrated. We deserve it. I feel being annoyed by it is a sign that you are conditioned to erasure or dismissal of black people. When everything about our many colors is exquisite. ❤
@Holla At The KI D - Love that! Thanks for the comment ❤️️🇬🇭❤️️.
@@ExpatLifeGhanaAyo sorry for the comments l made it yesterday, sorry for give me, it hate me to leaving in Ghana to US, sorry
"Black" is effectively a _cultural_ *placeholder* for African descendants of Slavery who had their *IDENTITY* stolen from then.
But now, through the wonders of _MODERN SCIENCE..._
the human genome has been fully sequenced.
We are Finally able to reclaim our actual ancestry/culture.
It's a beautiful thing!
❤❤
But for everyone else....
those who NEVER had their *Identity* taken from them...
there's No Need to label them as "black".
They already *KNOW* Who they are....
Nothing was ever "taken".
I hope that makes sense...
☀️☀️
Why should we be celebrated for our colour? As in why? You're just God's creation like any other people of any other colour so please stop inferiority complex
@@joshuaW1655
_WHY??_
🤣🤣
because the U.S. brainwashes/indoctrinates that *"BLACK"* is INFERIOR.
It's really something you won't understand unless you live here....

Just very disappointed when hearing diasporas moving back, when the Indians Lebanese Arabs Chinese finding their heaven here in the continent, I don't look at business ventures to make them money to stay
No money for investment it’s a scam by the government.
So true beyond disappointing, iean even with the sun these non native people are running things here and setting up their children to do the same 😢
The Arabs, Chinese, etc are there to Bribe Ghanaian politicians with BIG businesses and take their PROFIT money to their HOME COUNTRY whiles Ghanaians masses remain poor. DIASPORAINs are not going to pay bribe to the politicians/police/ driving licence officer or the business registration officer. If you manage to open a business and you employ a worker -who aim is to get rich QUICK and collapse the business. Mindset change is needed.
@@jetsjetsjets1044 Oh wow! That's unfortunate.
The Chinese do not come to stay permanently. They are sent by the country for a specific period of time. Lebanese are nomads so moving around doesnt bother them and there's nothing much left for them in their country so they come with no intention of going back. It's a different situation
I love being able to walk in all neighborhoods regardless of the time , day, or night , peace , and freedom . I don't have to worry about walking or driving while Black . The hawkers are fantastic .CHALE - OUT
I love the land. The soil. The ability to be able to grow your food. The land is beautiful.
The soil is eroded. The land and soil in America is way richer.
Just saw you video and liked it❤from trinidad and tobago🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
I love everything about Ghana! The people, food, vibe, cost of living, it's safe, etc, etc, etc!!!
It’s really unhealthy though. Some of the worst air quality, lots of processed food and a low life expectancy.
Wherever you all end up for good, that will be home or maybe you'll have many places you consider home. Black American here who spent 25 years outside the US in 5 different countries. To this day I always remember something I read a long, long time ago that went something like this, many Americans leave the US for a few weeks, months, years, decades even, but in the end the vast majority return to live permanently in the states. Personally, I don't think that's as true as it used to be but as I said it's something I've never forgotten. Good luck to you all. Sorry, I must admit I didn't watch your blog as much as I wanted to because it always reminded me that I'm back in the US, and I'm not really sure I want to be here. Been back since 2006 and still not sure I want to be here and yet I ain't getting any younger and I'm old now. One exception. My best friend, a fellow brother from the US, visited me in France in 1983. Shortly after his arrival I left for Spain. Said friend is still in France. He hasn't even 'visited' the US often. He ain't returning for good. Finally, yes, I've visited a few countries in Africa and enjoyed each one.
Wish you guys all the best in America, you are always welcome back to Ghana ok
My wife and I just stumbled upon you guys channel a couple days ago and you guys are Great wonderful we are so happy we learned so much from you guys in a little amount of time about Ghana and I agree with Tony I'm ready to get the hell out of the USA it is very dangerous here and we're definitely going to make that move 👍🏾
I keep missing the lives not getting notified.. but I’m watching the shows after. Love your broadcast 🙌🏽🌹
Lol yesssss the ice. I actually shipped my own ice machine from the States it’s famous at our parties 🎉
The tree that fell was Not in Liberia. It was in Freetown Sierra Leone. It was extremely significant regarding the history.
I hope you are all well. I have enjoyed all your videos. Your honest experience means everything. Be well!!
I work at a school in Fort Worth, Texas returning to school after Memorial Day one of our 15 years old students was shot and killed. Since then we have had at least two other youth shot.
I think this is a great idea that you guys are bring the boys back for the summer but the USA is not a nation to raise an African American male.
Be safe and hurry back to Ghana.
Have you looked up mortality rates on Ghanaian roads? We have our issues too.
When I first arrived to Ghana immigration officers were trying to scam me in airport even tho I had a negative PCR test the morning of my flight. They wanted $500 from me for having the right documents.
Chicago here. First off it’s good to see you guys again. Secondly happy belated birthday to Luke! Man time’s flying. 14 years old already. You two look great as always. Thanks for keeping it 💯 about your experiences in Ghana.
Thank you for sharing your experience in Ghana. All the best in the future.
Watching you from Phoenix Arizona always enjoy watching you guys. Thank you for sharing.😊
People go to Ghana because its Africa for beginners. There are so much more to Africa than Ghana.
Happy birthday, my son. You are growing up great and intelligent. From Ohio
Another great & fun video!
As always great show even though I didn’t get to see it live.

Shalom I have travelled outside of America to Israel and stay 3 months at a time. The language barrier and currency conversion is what was most difficult. I enjoyed the culture and inspired me to travel to other places in the world. I admire you all and encourage you two to stay steadfast.
I'm Happy For Y'll!
See you in October, I will be booking my room and flight, 'Whoa I am going to Ghana '
Tony make a transit in Burnsville, mn, to say hi... love you all from Minnesota
Boarding school is where lifetime friendships are formed
This is a trick & they dare not leave . If Tony leaves , it is only for business as well as personal issues . Sister Acouvi has arrived for about two months . Happy Earthday, Luke . How are Sydni & Leo doing . Brother Tony & Sister Ayo , I still have a bone to pick with you all for not scheduling the meet & group for June like you did last year. CHALE - OUT ...Love the Jones family. ..❤❤❤
Gun violence is real I just encountered a road rage incident and am LUCKY to be alive. My first thought after the dust settled was to thank GOD. My next was my family and I need to leave America this place is horrible people are crazy.
It's insane. I know of 2 young females, cousins died from gunshots. It's sad beyond belief.

Hello..looking forward to my trip to Ghana in n October....whats the weather like @that time?
You're welcome here to Ghana 🇬🇭 the MOTHERLAND
14 years old in Ghana, you could send him to a good boarding school. Ironically, the best boarding high schools are not private but government ones, and most Ghanaians, rich or poor, go to government boarding high school. He will make a lifetime of friendship.
The tree is in Freetown, Sierra Leone, not Liberia
Safe Travels. Have you all considered another country? I don't have little ones but I've heard good things about Rwanda.🌺
Rwanda is apparently not good for people with kids. Not a lot for the kids to do. SA or Kenya might work
Happy birthday Luke.

I know that Brother Tony wasn't anywhere unless it was an unresolved medical issue . Look on the bright side my brother, remember they left you before .Sister Ayo , do not take those children back to the same swimming pool where you had the previous incident .CHALE - OUT... We are traveling to Ghana in March.
See you soon 😊
I wish I could get out of America. I don't even want anything that reminds me of America. My kids are grown, so I wouldn't have that issue.
You can, it just takes planning… I’m in Ghana right now!
Hi guys, I know Tony wants to go back to Texas, but Texas is a very dangerous place to be right now towards black people.
Quit lying.. I have been in Arlington Texas (Dallas fort with) for 40yrs. Ain’t nothing dangerous here
@@albertaddai130981 thank you!!! If there is danger it’s actually from other black males….not the police. We need to start telling the truth. It’s the black males who are making us unsafe in America!!!

Hi I remember you guys when yall first got there .how long has it been So why are you leaving? Im from philly
Brother Tiny & Sister Ayo , I was in Pram Pram on Sunday, May 27 & was not able to meet with you . When will I get a chance to see you in Accra during my stay ? CHALE - OUT
Ho no! Acheampong family, Akanbi, and now Ayo?😅
Boarding school will be expensive if you go to a private school. Government boarding school doesn't cost much
Some government boarding schools are generally good and affordable. Eg: Presec, Achimota, Prempeh, and most of the Cape Coast schools

Before I listen to the video, Tony come back to Africa, we miss you here.
Awww yes I know your husband will miss you all but I do understand when you have children a lot of times you do have to keep them in mind. Well, I guess I will just wait until your wife gets back and try and do a live with you both. Have a safe travel.
It was Sierra Leone that lost the Cotton
So are you going or staying or was this just click bait? I take it I owe is going and Tony is staying or are you both going and then Tony is coming back? if you are going, maybe you could interview some of your staff it would be interesting to hear their stories. How you chose them, why they wanted to work for you maybe a bit about their lives in Gana after all, you must have surrounded yourself with some great people to do the kinds of tours and give the kind of hospitality you offer.
The kids are on vacation. It's summer vacation here in the U.S.
Tony will be happier in Kenya ; you should try Kenya
Have you guys been to Asebu
Pls tony ❤❤❤
Remember, Bro Tony & Sister Ayo , check your flight carefully this time more so , because last time Ayo & the boys did not get on the flight. You had to drive back to the airport & bring them home again . Hopefully , this situation will not repeat itself . CHALE - OUT...❤❤❤ Sister Acouvi

Brother Tony & Sister Ayo , the government of Ghana needs to inform Delta Airlines because we still had to print out the health declaration form as well as the Health Travel form , where you indicated whether or not you are vaccinated or not & you had to provide your passport information. CHALE - OUT .
Moving back home that's disappointing 😂 hopefully you return back to Ghana am in your country USA of course am citizen now but going back home to Ghana after 42 years hopefully you return back to Ghana 😂😂😂
Have you ever tried Crazy Burger in Ghana and yes East Africa is splitting in about 100,000 years so unless you are planning on hanging around that long I would say that you’re pretty safe visiting Africa today. South Africa is in a different place today, if you guys think that you have power outage problems don’t go to South Africa because they load shed every day for hours at a time. The racism is still crazy, xenophobia, is crazy, 50% unemployment economy is a mess and they are giving the middle finger to its biggest trading partners. Not a safe place to be as a foreigner.
