For the mosquitoes I bathed with lemongrass soap and had lemongrass body butter. Not one bite.
Great comment - Thanks for adding to the conversation ❤️️💛💚!
@zinalee3734 - Is the soap/lotion available in Ghana? Or did you buy before traveling. Please tell me where you purchased? Amazon?
Bring along some packets of sports drink that you mix in water like Gatorade or Liquid IV. It really helps as you adjust to the humidity and if anyone in your party gets sick. For little ones or picky eaters, bringing snacks they like can help a lot. Our youngest is a picky eater, so having granola bars and other things he likes helped when he wasn’t sure about the food at restaurants.
Thank you for your comment! ❤️️👍😊
My first time July 2023, and am planning on coming back. Two things I want to add. Yellow fever vaccine, plan early it’s not as readily available as before. Some insurance companies cover it. Also carry Cottonelle in your crossbody. Oh one more, get a phone holder necklace, makes taking pictures so easy.
Yellow fever vaccine I will get, thank you so very much for this information 🙏
Interesting idea @@zinalee3734
Yes good ones to add thx
Thank you for the tips. I honestly scratched my head and said “oh wow”, never thought of that.
You are so welcome!

Great information, thank you so much for sharing. I’ll be coming there in May 2024 with a group for the first time. I’m truly excited and your CZcams channel is very informative.
Thanks for all the information you gave me welldone
You have good tips well done
You two are so funny i enjoy it
You are so correct Tony I traveled with my son and let me tell you Tony is so right. My son told me somethings about the ready available woman in ghana during the night. Men be ready and prepared; seriously cause you may not find protection you are used to or find any at all when needed.
Great Info as always 🌹
A lot of great tips on the visa prepartion. I always say, " coming to Africa is a big deal financially and physically being prepared is a must on every level."
If anyone ever catch themselves at the airport with any issues concerning the yellow fever card or the visa i can help so please don't be discouraged feel free to reach out.
This is good information thank you
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks so much for that @@MrsAsamoah, really appreciate it 😉!
Wow Tony your shirt is nice!!!
Great informative video…
Glad you like it!
I would like information on the multi entrance visa, I plan on traveling to Ghana June 2024. This helped me and I'm going to get my malaria pills
@@MarieBlessed531 - Contact the Embassy when you get your visa, and thanks for the comment 😊!
It took me a week to get into the new time zone
@@wheatie83 - Oh wow, and thanks for the comment 😊!
Just go on the side of the road
@@TamaraDantzlerSokeye65 - Oh wow, and thanks for the comment 😊!
Yup. Never leave your hotel room without baby wipes and a small hand shovel to bury yo dookie in the dirt.
Well if you are coming from Canada you have to get a invitation letter and your plane ticket before you can get your visa From
Ottawa
@@WRLatocha - Never been, and thanks for the comment 😊!
Oh wow I didn't know that Canada needed to get a invitation letter.
I would also say some snacks. I stayed in Berekum and they have no snacks. I saw a couple of questionable suckers. An only one did I find any chips, and they were Pringles 😢 its not a big deal, but I'll be bringing some in March for sure
Great comment - Thanks for adding to the conversation ❤️️💛💚!
No way...I went and did a search "buy car seat in Ghana" and all kinds of places came up. Are you sure you can't get one there and we have to bring ours?
How much money should I travel with in pocket to Ghana ?
I know I came with at least $300 but it's up to the individual. I always say exchange $100 at the airport so you can pay for your ride from the airport and tip. The visa is welcomed and to get money from the ATM is dispersed in Ghana cedis so you can more when needed.
I have my own car but no driver.
@@wheatie83 - That is most common, and thanks for the comment 😊!
I know a driver that is punctual contact me and I'll pass his information to you if your interested.
I want to invite you, how can I get to you.
Hey guys, love your tips and tricks.
What are your thoughts on bringing a stroller?
I was born in Ghana and moved to the US when I was 9, haven't been back in 19 years. We're finally visiting in September with my baby, he will be 23 months. I would like to know if touring in a stroller would be more difficult than carrying him around.
@@couragetamakloe4621 - Wrap that baby on your back and keep it moving, and thanks for the comment 😊!
@@ExpatLifeGhanathere’re no paved sidewalks for strollers except few subdivisions.
I have a 6 month old. Brought the stroller just for ease at the airport and maybe the mall. Otherwise he’s in the baby carrier or on his auntie’s back or whoever else
@@dadoboye1536where in Ghana were you? Plenty of sidewalks in Cantonments, Osu, East Legon.
I had a stroller and no issues in these areas.
@@gagoomt4076 maybe for 100 feet. We are talking about sidewalk suitable for strollers for at least a mile which I don’t think Accra has and also safe from traffic.
