That line "While Dany kinda forgot about the Iron Fleet" is going to haunt him for the rest of his days.
That's not the same thing. The show is separate from the behind-the-scenes. They *do* show and not tell on the show.
As it should.
They just talked about it in the War Room in the previous scene so it sounds like Danny had some deterioration in her skull with that brain
@@LelouchViBr Unfortunately, that's not the case... they need to stop doing those, they've actively brought down the quality of HOTD by doing the same damned thing.
George R.R. Martin literally said the show should be AT LEAST 13 seasons!
10 would have been fine, or even if season's 7 and 8 had the full 10 episodes. As soon as season 6 ended and season 7 started, everything was incredibly freakin rushed? Why? This show prints money. Selfish ass D&D wanting to move on to star wars - hey how about you pass the torch to another team or director if you wanna quit. Don't fuck the whole show up.

Remember Azor Ahai? The 'Prince That Was Promised'? Yeah, neither do the writers lol
Dany kind of forgot about the Iron Fleet. Yara kind of forgot that the Iron Islands wanted to be independent. Everyone in the dragon pit kind of forgot about Jon Snow, the rightful heir. Grey Worm kind of forgot about being way behind Jon killing Lannister prisoners when he teleported way ahead of him to the top of the stairs. Dumb and Dumber kind of forgot that so many Dothraki and Unsullied were killed. Everyone in Westeros kind of forgot that they didn't need to follow the orders of Grey Worm. Everyone in the entire Reach kind of forgot that Bronn had zero business to being Lord of the Reach and owner of High Garden. Varys forgot he was smart. etc.
That was never in the show.
Jon was Azor Ahai. He fulfilled all of the prophesies.
Ah shittt
Mariah West Yeah, early on. Then she went quiet. Wasn’t Lightbringer supposed to show up?

Seasons 1-4: BEST. SHOW. EVER.
Seasons 5-7: Writing quality deteriorates slightly, Still enjoyable as hell
Season 8: *WHY DO YOU THINK I CAME ALL THIS WAY*
Agreed with 1 small change :P 'Writing quality deteriorates significantly' in those seasons, but it is still great to watch. I don't even know what to call writing in season 8.
You're insane, season 7 is right up there with 8.
Season 5 was good overall but season 6 was where it detoriates
Season 5 to 7 were good in TV standards but worse if your standards are the rest of GOT (which they should absolutely be but oh well). But s8 is some really bad TV.
5-7 sucked ass
To be fair David Benioff also wrote Troy which wasn't bad, mostly because Homer finished the Illiad in time for him to have source material.
He also wrote X-Men Origins : Wolverine where they knew what Deadpools character was like but somehow turned him into a edge lord who couldn’t talk.
Well, Troy doesn't have some kind of very complicated story line.
Lmao nice..
Troy wasnt bad?Isnt that the movie with an aeroplane?
He wrote 25th Hour though, which is a great drama. The man can write if he wants...

Such simple small changes would have made it so much better. Dany could have tricked him and said just be honest with me, no harm will come to you... Unless you lie. Do you feel i'm a bad queen, should I give my crown to Jon...?
Then have Varys admit to her he is rooting for Jon.
Then have Dany burn him alive for his " treason". It would have been a good sign that she's finally gone crazy and lies to people about their safety before burning them

Pretty much! I have grown to truly dispise Disney.
Nah, Dan and David have stated many times, almost since the beginning, that they'd only do 7 seasons. I don't think they wrote Season 8 poorly to rush it so they can get into Star Wars. I think they're just shit writers who can't do anything without the source material to back them up. Remember what happened to X-Men Origins: Wolverine? That trash pile of a movie. the hound was never brought back to life he never died
Right, he met them in the woods as he was trying to their members who hung his friend. The guy that brings Beric back to life had a moment at that cabin when hound was burying the farmer and his daughter. He also told the Hound to look into the fire and the Hound saw something.
yes, the hound didnt died, almost died though. when he fought lady breine. he fell from the cliff. and arya left him for dead. and the next time we see him was carrying a log, they were building a house.
Ethan was right the hound died and he was brought back to life "in the books"
this scene never happened in the tv show and a lot of things didn't happen in the show as well which fucking disappointing.
Hakim Rabhi there is no part in the books that said he was brought back to life. He was just healed by the priest.
He almost died, that's what he meant!
I hope they lose their Star Wars deal because of this.
You're talking about people who thought it was a good idea to give Star Wars to JJ fucking Abrams. They're clueless. If they were smart, they'd put Star Wars on hiatus for a few years until Denis Villeneuve is done with Dune.

Hodor with the hold the door thing is how you properly subvert expectations.
Exactly! Subverting isn't doing the exact opposite of what makes sense.
The whole idea of "subverting expectations" being a good thing is not about subversion of expectations as an end by itself but as a byproduct of the writers not caring about what the fans think or want, and building a good story that is objectively coherent and consistent.
Jean Quad VanDamme Which is because GRRM gave them that info
I heard that grrm was going to use the hold the door scene in the books and it was his idea. Could be wrong.

This sounds familiar. Oh yeah, with one of the RWBY writers.
I think Dany's turn into madness would have been one of the coolest endings and payoffs if they had spend another full season building up to the siege on King's Landing, all the while building up her desperation and insanity.
This is what I wanted and expected. Not a two episode switch into madness. Her randomly snapping days or weeks after her friends dying just because she sees the Red Keep is odd. Also, why didn’t she fly straight to Cersei’s Keep if she was truly bloodthirsty. This season was a mess.
D Leo that’s the biggest problem, the character motivation is completely foggy
Absolutely! I agree 100%

what they write is idiotic anyways and they make it even worse trying to explain it
They've been writing this way since S4 too. Go back and watch Littlefinger's conversations with Lysa in S4, the dialogue is ridiculously bad because they converse in a super unnatural way to provide exposition to the show watchers who D&D didn't expect would remember Lysa's husband Jon Arryn. It's also why Tyrions motivation to kill Tywin was cut from the show, because they thought the Audience wouldn't remember or care who Tysha was, so therefore Tyrion and Jaime shouldn't care about Tysha even though she's so important to Tyrions motivations and internal morals.

Remember when book favorite wyman manderly got shafted into only appearing for one minor scene and was never seen or mentioned again but Lyanna Mormont got multiple unnecessary scenes and a full on "epic" death? or that Howland Reed didn't show up at Winterfell even though all the banners should have been called and he was specifically given an important role in a flashback last season? They don't even mention the Reed's once this season, even Meera is gone.

It’s painfully obvious that the showrunners D&D are not good at original writing, now that they have no source material to go off.
The decisions these characters are making make no sense!
No, it isn't 'painfully obvious'. It is evident though that they were eager to wrap the show up as fast as they could so they could move on to the star wars show. And in 6 episodes, this is what is possible.
@@adityalahiri4529 the show has been going downhill since season 5, which coincidentally is about the time most of the book plots drop off. Not a coincidence. Painfully obvious. They wanted to cash in on an adaptation that was guaranteed to succeed and have been getting lazier and lazier. They could have had as many episodes as they wanted to develop and conclude the story in a better way. What they did instead? Casually forget that a man called DAVOS FUCKING SEAWORTH CAN SAIL. Imagine faithfully watching a show for 8 years only to have the writers jump ship and shit all over the story you love. I feel bad for the people that have been here since s1.
@@exsanguinateds I thought s6 was amazing, might you elaborate why you think otherwise?
Actually David Benioff was an author before GOT and I've read two of his books, and they're both really good. The 25th Hour is about a gangster's last day as a free man before going to prison for a decade (it was turned into a movie starring Ed Norton, dir. by Spike Lee). City of Thieves is a coming of age story about a Russian teen in Stalingrad during WW2 during the siege by the Nazis and he and a friend are tasked with finding eggs (which are scarce due to the siege) for a general's daughter's wedding cake or else they'll be killed. I recommend both.
Too bad the last season of GOT was doo doo
Do you know David Benioff is one of the 2 writer of Wolverine Origin ? ... they create the legendary awful "Baraka" Deadpool.
im not watching anything by D+D by the way they treat their work. rushing everything not caring about the story. very disrespectful to grrm
Maise Williams/Entertainment Weekly: "I immediately thought that everybody would hate it; that Arya doesn't deserve it. The hardest thing in any series is when you build up a villain that's so impossible to defeat and then you defeat them. It has to be intelligently done because otherwise, people are like, 'Well, [the villain] couldn't have been that bad when some 100-pound girl comes in and stabs him.' You gotta make it cool. And then I told my boyfriend and he was like, 'Mmm, should be Jon [Snow] though really, shouldn't it?'"
Kit Harrington behind the scenes: “I was pissed. I was pissed that it wasn’t me killing the Night King. I would’ve bet you thousands before we read the finals.”
Lena Headey in an interview with Entertainment Weekly: "She’s destroyed every good alliance, connection, love in her life - she was always destined to be alone. And until the very, very last minute, she is, as ever, in denial of what’s actually happening. (...) I wanted her to have some big piece or fight with somebody."
Entertainment Weekly/Conleth Hill on his feelings when he got the scripts: "Mixed, obviously. Part of you didn’t want it to finish. Part of you is, “Oh, that’s very good.” And part of you is, “Oh, that sucks.” (...) I was very bummed to not have a final scene with [Littlefinger]. I was bummed not to have any reaction to him dying if he was my nemesis. That’s been my feeling the last couple seasons, that my character became more peripheral, that they concentrated on others more. That’s fine. It’s the nature of a multi-character show. It was kind of frustrating. As a whole, it’s been overwhelmingly positive and brilliant but I suppose the last couple seasons weren’t my favourite. (...) Last season and this season there were great scenes and then I’d come in and kind of give a weather report at the end of them - “film at 11.” So I thought he was losing his knowledge. If he was such an intelligent man and he had such resources, how come he didn’t know about things? That added to my dismay. It’s now being rectified with getting a great and noble ending. But that was frustrating for a couple seasons."
Elle magazine/Emilia Clarke on Dany's character shift: “What, what, what, WHAT!? Because it comes out of f*cking nowhere. I’m flabbergasted. Absolutely never saw that coming. (...) It was a f*cking struggle reading the scripts. (...) I read these scripts coming on to two years ago now. When I did, I took a very long walk around London in a daze, not quite knowing how to digest the news. Now, finally, people are going, “Oh, now we understand why this season hit you hard.”
The Hound was not brought back to life by the Lord of Light. Beric Dondarion was.
The Hound was near death after his fight with Brienne. He probably got confused about that. I mean that Septon did say he took him for dead until he opened his eyes.

thematic My guy, I binged GoT two summers ago and am now rewatching 1-7 after finishing 8 and there are so many details and events that I either forgot happened or misremembered, it’s a near 80-hour-long series with a lot of content so no, not everyone who loves the show is going to remember every little thing that ever happened. 2. No one at HBO seeing the dwindling quality of the script leading to the final season.
3. No one at HBO reading this final script and giving it a red flag, Even the cast have had trouble pretending it's a good season. The project was not managed well, changing out directors as opposed to abruptly ending it would have been better.

The prequel spinoff is being written by George R. R. Martin and Jane Goldman. D&D are also not involved, and a great director is in charge of the pilot. It should be good.

NO he was not. people think that the gravedigger might be the Hound but that is not confirmed. If he is still alive then he did not die after arya left him and was healed by conventional medicines.
Yh he just saw a vision in the flame, then he believed in the lord of light and the brotherhood without banners.
Yeah, at least in the show, they say he was stumbled upon by that traveling group of pilgrims and nursed back to health, not brought back by the Lord of Light.
@@iamarussianbot3788 He wasn't brought back to life in the books, he never really died. However it is strongly implied that the gravedigger on the quiet isle is sandor clegane who got nursed back to health by the men who live there. He's described as being taller than brienne of tarth and that he limps (from the wounds of his last battle in the inn at the crossroads). He wears a robe and a scarf like the other men on the isle to conceal his face.
The elder brother tells brienne that he found the dying hound and that he
succumbed to his wounds. BUT he never tells her that sandor clegane died, only the hound and that he "found his peace". There's is also sandors cleganes horse in the stables and a dog ,which travelled with brienne, moved up to the gravedigger and in response he droped his shovel and scratched his ear.
