Steve is also an accomplished classical guitarist and composer
This was a tongue and cheek parody of 80s metal
Listen to
Go for Baroque
Or Highland Wedding from the same album
Very gifted and extremely nice musician
Steve Morse has a music degree from the University of Miami. He started out in the Jazz program then switched to the Classical Music program. He's an accomplished classical guitar player as well.
Steve Morse - Eyes of a Child , one of the prettiest guitar songs ever
Two of my favorite things! Steve Morse and Riverwest Stein...
Steve Morse is a masterful composer. He studied classical, one of his big influences... J.S. Bach. Check out all the Dixie Dregs & Steve Morse Band albums. Mostly written by him. The Dixie Dregs bassist Andy West calls it 'electronic chamber music'. There's a classical song on most of the albums. He plays serious classical guitar. You'll hear many classical references throughout his music... along with country, Celtic, rock, blues, jazz.. etc. He can compose and play it all. One of my favorite musicians, composers, and an influence to me as a guitarist.
I strongly recommend an duet on classical guitarswith Steve Morse and Steve called Up in the Air, from the Dixie Dregs’ Industry Standards album
Please more Reaction on Steve's songs...
Have been waiting a long time for you to explore Steve Morse. Especially on this album check out Ghostwind, Tumni Notes, and Modoc. For some of Steve's classical guitar please check out "Little Kids". czcams.com/video/QJgY5TRykyY/video.htmlsi=WQ2jVcD7M_Q7bMcR
I trust you will become a big fan! Enjoy! With Peace and Love to all! (Michael)
I would add Southern Steel, Coast to Coast, Structural Damage then Night of the Living Dregs and Industry Standard with the Dixie Dregs. A real big rabbit hole to go down.
@@jdbroders64 I could not agree more!! There's a whole lot of Steve Morse and The Dixie Dregs to enjoy!

I've seen Steve play this live about half a dozen times. This record (High Tension Wires) came out in 1989.
You should listen to his pieces composed for nylon string and violin:
