Hi there, is it normal for my model to look very pixlated after clicking "make solid"? If not, how can I keep my model as clear and detailed as possible? Thank you!
When I make my models solid, it substantially reduces the level of detail. It is as if the shell of the model is porous and the fill is bleeding through to the surface. I am using a MAC if that makes a difference. Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong?
Meshmixer is not open. It's free, commercial, closed source software. Also, this is a great tutorial but I'm left wondering what is the practical utility in dentistry of a positive print of someone's teeth?

SeattleBraces thanks Cali. We're using iTero. There are always a few small holes in the scan which the inspector usually does fine at filling. But occasionally there are some holes it doesn't recognize.
I'm trying to cut the edges out, how can you do it with and without the keyboard? It's not removing it just making it gray. Does that mean the same thing?
there should be a pen type tool for precise selection for cutting and key frame area to see animation after moving tooth, otherwise this is just painter software

There is a slider that allows you to select how many triangles/ how much surface detail you want to export
