Yep for the longest time he's always shied away at catch & cooks because he didn't like fish, but he's coming along nicely about it nowadays. Good to see.

This is what I want in a pond. Multiple species that aren't only fun to catch, but good to eat. Luckily I'm in Oz and most of the species we catch for sport are also very tasty.
I'm sure crappie mixed with a little battery acid will go down like a spoon full of sugar.

Walleye are great tasting fish fillets. However, the cheek meat is the best part! It's a wonderful nugget of flavor and texture.

I tried walleye nuggets 2 weeks ago because of flair. It was delicious and my wife even said she prefers it that way now😃👍👍
Flair if you want that sauce recipe (dipping) I can taste and decode the recipe. Do it all the time since I was a kid. I make organic vinegars and marinades, rubs, and barbecue sauce all the time. So many years ago you had to if you wanted something good. Couldn't pick up market brands in the store like you can today.

I do mustard fry. Just use mustard as a binder then season some flour and as soon and they are coated drop them in grease. I won't use cornmeal anymore unless I'm out of flour

Sup guys. Don't need to drowned in hot sauce. Just brush it on and dredge in zatarains fish Fri. Amazon has 2 1gallon containers like $15. The little bags you buy are $4? Can always add hot sauce or tarter sauce after lol. Great video. Ty
This year I cleaned 322 crappies from 12-15 inches and over 100 walleye from 15-23 inches did catch a 25 incher but let him go

Watching southern people catch a walleye and enjoy it is funny to me. Up in MN you can go to almost any lake and catch 3-4 good eating walleye in a night. 3-4 is only a decent night. If you find a good spot you could catch like 20-30 . You boys gotta make a trip to lake of the woods.
Walleye is hands down the best freshwater fish to eat. We catch them over here on the west coast too!

Googans need to come ice fish walleyes during ice season in Wisconsin. Ice fish taste better than open water.
Even the MinnDak boys could turn them on to some ice walleye. Come winter it seems like that's just about all they catch lol.
I've been wanting to try the hot sauce wash for ages. Finally did it with some rockfish my boss gave me that he caught in oregon recently. Best fish fry i've ever had.

Up north we always eat walleye, perch, crappie, and Bluegill all from good Ol' Lake Erie.

My main fish I'd walleye and I love to see other people excited about them, you guys did forget to zipper out the y bones in the middle of the fillet which would make the experience more enjoyable
i caught a lot crappies using 1.5 to 1.75 inch s-fin for lunker city, with a bobber 2 to 4 feet and 1/32 to 1/4oz jig heads

As a Canadian that catches Walleye in both regular fishing and ice fishing, you boys need to take a trip North to Canada or to Wisconsin/Michigan/Ohio in the Winter and catch some Walleye from the ice water... it's 10x more delicious in the Winter coming from freezing waters.

My dad and I love catching pan fish but I never thought to use a crank bait. Might have to rig one of 4 poles for that. I always call pan fish fish sticks. Just need to find out your batter/seasoning preference.

Man I love seeing southern boys try walleye! And they got to have crappie with it as well, this is literally what we live for where I’m from (Kansas).
Dads been taking me crappie and walleye fishing since I can remember and teaching me his secrets to frying his way. Nothing quite like going out on the water with some buddies and catching your target species to fry up or cook however you want. Definitely some of my fondest memories for sure and plan on making PLENTY more to come.
One thing I haven’t tried and want to is walleye caught fresh and then making it in a pan with butter and lemon right there on the shore. Any of my northern anglers out there done that? If so, how was it?? Worthwhile?
