My son went to see alterbridge in Manchester,he passed away tragically months after and we played wonderful life at his funeral,a fitting tribute from a band my son loved,watching this video brought back some painful memories but some happy ones too,it states that this video was live at wembley but on close scrutiny I'm sure I caught a glimpse of my lad in the audience,if anyone could tell me if this IS Manchester I would be very grateful,maybe then I would know for certain this is my boy

Unfortunately, this is in Wembley. I'm incredibly sorry for your loss, but you're son had a great taste in music and if you haven't already, you should listen to their other songs. I would suggest "in loving memory" if you're ever down about your son. I can assure you that it will bring you to tears but it's such a beautiful song

The lyrics and guitar complement each other perfectly. Everyone can relate to this song and Myles always puts so much emotion into these slower songs. Simply brilliant. AB can’t make a bad song.
I remember trying to communicate these words to my dad in his last days before passing away from a long fight against cancer. I tried to thank him for a Wonderful life with him by my side, and he went and thanked me for his wonderful life. R.I.P Dad. I miss you.
Holden Collins This struck a chord with me as I sang the chorus to my dad on his death bed a few hours before he passed away from various conditions as a result of leukaemia. I am sorry for your loss, but it's comforting to know a song can bring two strangers together by having stories that relate.
In 2010 not too long after the release of ABIII, my father became suddenly ill and was diagnosed with acute leukaemia, which was followed by double pneumonia and swine flu. He fought for several weeks before suffering a stroke and a brain aneurysm while in a coma on 7th January of 2011. As my family and I surrounded his bedside I softly sang the chorus of this song, waiting for him to spread his wings. He passed away in the early hours of the 8th.
This song personally, and eternally, represents that moment and my father's passing. I recall tweeting about it to Alter Bridge a couple of days later and Myles Kennedy sent me a direct message sending me his deepest sympathies, but also expressing his gratitude that the song had a meaning to a fan. In a time where I was struggling to cope with the loss of my dad, Myles was the first to bring a smile to my face just by being a kind and average human being. I will be forever grateful for that.
I can't believe I never heard this amazing song...it made me cry when I heard it. Myles Kennedy's voice is godlike!

Myles voice carries so much emotion. The lyrics are simple but perfectly formed.
Beautiful song....was played at my Nephews funeral on a slide show of his short lived life, He was born at 27 weeks premature, from the 19th week he had little fluid to help his body grow. Was doing so well then things went downhill fast, he passed away on the day he was meant to be born. I think of him everyday and how beautiful this song fit, thank you Alter Bridge. this song always tears me up a little. I get choked up because when i hear this i think of the very last day i saw my sister on her deathbed. She had stage 3 lung cancer. she didnt tell anybody until it was too late. she was only 17. I sang this at her funeral. I miss u Mia. RIP (1996-2013)

It's a really beautiful and emotional song. He is probably thinking about someone.
That and when Myles sings slow songs like this he puts ALOT of emotion into it and it almost hypnotizes you. Such an amazing performer.
