I agree man, Mark is the true soul of AB, Myles is just the frontman. The most part of the work it's done by Tremonti. And there's a lot of peapole behind the band that makes all of this possible too.
actually, while Mark is a beast and did write the entirety of One Day Remains, he has talked repeatedly about how much Myles inputs. Myles has co-written almost every song since the first album. having been in a band for years, the common misconception that 1 person writes everything is very annoying. Tremonti has stated on numerous occasions that Myles is one of the best guitarists hes ever worked with. and when a man like Mark says that, its fucking special. Tremonti (the band) is written almost exclusively by Mark, hence his last name being the band name but Alter Bridge will always be a band effort.
I came to this video after watching Paul McCartney play Blackbird live. I thought it was a cover. I’ve never heard this band before, but this song has moved me so much. I’ve been playing the guitar for about 10 years now and lately I’ve been in a rut. Finding this song has literally changed me. I feel so emotional!! These guys are insane!! The studio version of guitar solos more often than not will sound a bit different when played live, not Tremonti's solos though, they just fuckin don't. What a god.

If I could retroactively pick one song from one concert by any band to witness in person, it would be this one. It cuts so deep. The heavy transition, Myles crushing the vocals, Mark’s solo (maybe my favorite of all time) and every other detail gives me goosebumps every single time. Absolutely incredible.

I love that moment when one of them is playing solo and the other one goes behind him to put each other in spotlight. That's the real friendship and respect in a band.
Proabably one of the very few true vocalists in rock. That's evident when you hear him sing live. Unlike most rock/metal bands that have guitarists who can sing, and so can't sing well on stage, kennedy is a beast on stage!!
+Adam Knight Myles and Mark did a guitar battle later on in England and Myles was playing stuff and Mark had no clue what to do. So that tells you who the better guitarist is. Not to be hating on Mark but Myles may be better than Mark and maybe just as good if not better than the legend himself Joe Satriani.

If I could retroactively pick one song from one concert by any band to witness in person, it would be this one. It cuts so deep. The heavy transition, Myles crushing the vocals, Mark’s solo (maybe my favorite of all time) and every other detail gives me goosebumps every single time. Absolutely incredible.

I love that moment when one of them is playing solo and the other one goes behind him to put each other in spotlight. That's the real friendship and respect in a band.
Proabably one of the very few true vocalists in rock. That's evident when you hear him sing live. Unlike most rock/metal bands that have guitarists who can sing, and so can't sing well on stage, kennedy is a beast on stage!!

+Navjot Singh both guitarists in this band are good but Tremonti is on another level.
+Adam Knight Myles and Mark did a guitar battle later on in England and Myles was playing stuff and Mark had no clue what to do. So that tells you who the better guitarist is. Not to be hating on Mark but Myles may be better than Mark and maybe just as good if not better than the legend himself Joe Satriani.
Only got into Alter Bridge early 2021.
What a band and Myles reminds me of Axl Rose in his pomp.
