- A very enjoyable afternoon spent at Hayes & Harlington station on the Great Western Mainline where we see plenty of services from Great Western Railway, TFL Rail and Heathrow Express.
There isn't really to much to tell about this station. It's never been treated as a major station and to this day it still remains the same. Even though the passenger numbers throughout the last few years really do say otherwise.
The station was opened in 1868 and it was just a simple wooden structure.
The station serves as a junction for the line going towards Heathrow, you can't see it from where I was standing but to the West of the station there is a flyover which takes the line over the GWML.
My next station is Southall.

Fantastic intro and video...again in the bus to home:)love that
I'm just glad that I'm able to give you something good to watch on your journeys :)
The Heathrow Express hasn't run to Heathrow Terminal 4 since Terminal 5 opened in 2008, only TfL Rail (Heathrow Connect) runs to Terminal 4
This video was fantastic
I'm glad you liked it
Another fantastic video here Tornado922 :)
Thanks very much for saying so :)
Excellent video really enjoy it
Thank you kindly for saying so :)
Number nine and still fresh great job. Some very clean Train Liveries. So much positive growth along these lines, it's great to see. Thanks again! B.P.
I'm trying out filming at 4/5 stations every time I go out so I always have something up upload for people to watch and by the looks of things it seems to be going down rather nicely :) This section of the line is great because of the variety in traffic that passes by during one hour
Yeah, trying to have film stock is what I do as well. I have about 100gb of backlog I'm unloading now. Tricky, but worth it! B.P
I really love these TFL Rail class 360’s purple colour. It’s really nice.
Aside from the fact that it's a relatively simple livery it does work really well on the 360's
@@Tornado922 360205 use to be as Heathrow Express livery
Great video, I had a feeling you'd like it there!!
Thanks very much, it's a great statin to come to and one that I will definitely be coming back to hopefully during a weekday at some stage in rode to catch a few more services that I wouldn't otherwise be able to see
Awesome Footage Buddy :)
Thanks mate I'm glad you enjoyed watching this
17:37-17:42, the IETs were 800 035 and 800 030
Funny this station is called Hayes & Harlington because there is a Southeastern served station called Hayes and a station on the Midland Main Line called Harlington
Very good video
Thanks very much
I do like the growl of an MTU HST class 43
They do sound great from a distance, although the Valenta and the VP185 are better sounding when passing through a station
i refer to the GWR iet
Don’t mean to be a picky one but could you try mentioning a tad more if a service is running late, on time or early? It would be interesting to see what trains from which route is running late etc also, keep up the good work
Well that's certainly something I can start doing more often to make it more inclusive for everyone
What does IET stand for?
Intercity Express Train
Great video mate, not sure if you are like other trainspotters and collect the numbers of the trains. The HST you missed the numbers on were 170 and 159. Hope this is of help to you. Btw those 360's are really ugly, what is your opinion on their look?
the 360s had their end gangways removed at the last minute as the restricted visibility was deemed unsuitable for DOO; they were originally going to have 350 cab ends
I don't really mind the 360's in all honesty. They're just something different to look at.
GWR sure like fences on there stations
Neil mark Taylor it's for safety for passengers as trains are going 100mph+
5:05 that was 43159 from pensantz
Right ok :)
5:00 that was 43170 and 43159, slowed the video down
Right ok, thanks for letting me know
17:37/ 17:43
i say again those complete units not split by engines look the bogs dollocks
a singular 800 series does look better
