It's vital to do standing functional work for strength, balance and coordination and in this class. we will also work the core, legs, hips, glutes, shoulders, arms and back. Hi I usually do the Pilates for seniors as I’m in my 70s but tried this this morning and managed most of it but had to hold ont chair for balance oo some of work out managed the up on toes balance but thanks so much I enjoy your classes 👍🤗🤩

I'm 70 years old and love your classes. They look easy at first but I've worked up a good sweat!
Thanks for helping my lungs Rachel. I have been struggling with congestion and COPD this winter and the strong conscious breathing I use when doing these standing videos helps clear them. I now say I am going to do my Pilates for my lungs. And of course my flexibility, strength, balance and wellbeing. ❤

Wow! This was a great class. I will be doing this class often as it is a total body work out. By the way I am to be 81 next month and still active . I have arthritis and your classes have really eased my pain and I still have good flexibility due to exercise most of my life

This might just be my favourite standing workout! I've been doing a lot of reading about neuroplasticity so I was really interested to hear you talk about neural pathways - Pilates is just so good for maintaining and improving those, especially the standing sessions I think. Thank you!

Good one Rachel as ever! Some of it was a bit challenging but managed it ok 😊 the stretches at the end are quite hard for me so I alter it a little to make it a bit easier. Wow🥵Fabulous for my particular balance/ataxia issues! I was so pleased, had to pause the workout and let my husband know, thanks to Rachel’s Pilates and excellent cues,I can now stand on my weaker right 🦵🏻 and balance on it - have to touch a nearby chair sometimes, but this is huge for me, with only one balance nerve from brain surgeries! Thank you, thank you, Rachel, for all you do!❤😊

I've been doing one or two of your shorter standing workouts/stretches a day for several months now to cope with long hours at a farming job and help with recurring low back pain. Your two spinal mobility videos have saved me on numerous occasions! And I've been learning a lot about listening to what my body needs and when to sit out a movement/not overdo it. A few days ago I had a chance to do this longer workout in the morning and it put me in a great mood for the rest of the day, and ever since I can really feel my glute and inner thigh muscles pitching in with every movement to help support my back. Thanks again for everything you do, and if I had a request it would be a 10-15 minute standing workout to help strengthen the low back for people who are active but deal with pain from time to time.
