- Dr. David Mabrie and Kimberly, PA-C, discuss 3 ways to treat nasolabial folds with dermal fillers and neuromodulators such as BOTOX® Cosmetic. At San Francisco's Mabrie Facial Institute, nasolabial folds are one of the most common concerns people visit us to treat. These lines run from the sides of the nose down around the mouth, and they can make us look older than we are.
In this video, Kimberly and Dr. Mabrie share their favorite ways to treat these folds, including:
Fillers in the cheeks and midface
BOTOX to relax muscles around the nose
Fillers directly into the nasolabial folds

Very direct and professional.. thanks
Glad it was helpful! :)
Can you do a combination of these options? For example 1 and 2, or 2 and 3, or 1 and 3 lol? Sorry if it's a stupid question.
Hi J Doe - thank you for your question about treating nasolabial folds. In our video, “3 Ways to Treat Nasolabial Folds”, we discuss using fillers to the Midface (option 1), using Botox to the snarl muscles (option 2), and/or filler directly to the nasolabial folds (option 3).
Doing all 3 options or variety of options is totally possible! Your unique treatment plan depends on your anatomy, severity of folds/crease, volume loss in the midface, etc. I suggest a personal or virtual consultation to get started to find-out the best option for you. Contact the office to schedule.

Right, what about mid face lift pls.
Hi ex Ysness - In our office, we often treat nasolabial folds by addressing midface volume loss - first. Using dermal filler, we can restore structure to the area above the nasolabial folds, greatly diminishing their appearance.
Placing too much filler directly to the nasolabial folds can cause heaviness or a drooping appearance; essentially replacing one concern for another.
Once structure is restored in the midface, a smaller amount of filler can be placed to the nasolabial folds to make the area smooth (if necessary) - avoiding the droop. Surgical facelift can re-drape the skin and tighten muscles, but will not address volume loss. We hope that helps!
