Natural World: Return of the Tiger
Five years ago the tigers of Sariska Reserve, India, were completely wiped out by poachers. It was a huge setback in the war to save this treasured species from extinction - but now conservationists are fighting back. This beautiful film follows a female tiger and a hot-blooded male over 18 months as they try to establish their new territory, learn to hunt their prey and dodge the ever-present threat of poachers.
Welcome to BBC EARTH! The world is an amazing place full of stories, beauty and natural wonder. Here you'll find 50 years worth of astounding, entertaining, thought-provoking and educational natural history content. Dramatic, rare, and exclusive, nature doesn't get more exciting than this.

The continuous shot from 1:23 to 2:17 is the best I have ever seen. The shot shows tigers phenomenal camouflage and hunting technique. If it was not for bird calls, the deer would have been an easy kill.
also doesn't help the deers that they are color blind and the tiger is basically green to them
@@pitbullthedog668 Deers are colour blind?!
@@vozamaraktv-art5595 Yep! That's why hunters will wear orange. It allows them to be visible to other hunters so they don't get shot but won't scare the deer away.

Camera shot of the deer on foreground with tiger in background upon approach was epic 👍
Uìiiìì9⁹87uuĺpop
That deer turned around and literally saw its life flashed before its eyes
LOL
2:20 Probably because the Deer seen that MASSIVE collar around its neck hiding the stripes.
That collar is the reason why the tiger is healthy and safe, it is for the officials to ensure that the tiger isn't in any harm.
Tigers don't mess around--all business. All cats have that confident demeanour. I just love them! They truly ARE amazing creatures, that's why I write stories and music about them! 💕 🐾
Business Cat! ;3
2:08 Look how deer's ears are reacting to the sounds around
Them bad boys are like built in radars
yes,she was helped by the birds
Those sounds allerted him that danger was near
That deer's acceleration...
@nabil chowdhury : indeed & the deer can maintain that speed for a longer time...tigers can reach such burst of speed but for a short while hence they stalk & ambush...
I love that the narrator said "I think" at those tense moments. Puts the audience more in the moment, and is pretty realistic if one is watching as a real-time observer. Love it.
Fantastic analysis, I agree
It’s amazing how quiet they walk for their size.
I think the birds are giving her away lol.
i’m 100% sure you’re wrong but it’s funny tho
U are so cute
@@horic67 it is true.birds and monkeys do make sounds to warn them.
@@horic67 and how the fuck are you 100 percent sure lol are you a fucking biologist?
Yes they help each other ❤️,both have same nature
MISSION FAILED
WE'LL GET EM NEXT TIME
He ran for deer life
😂🤣🤣
😁😁😉
I hate you for this pun
the deer's 0-60kmph timings is pretty good...
I loved the deer's ears moving for each and every sound....
That deer coudl tell from the sounds the birds were making that it was in a lot of trouble. It never even saw or heard the tiger but got spooked
True, only problem is that the deer has to decide which direction to run...
If there's a patience stat for a tiger, I'd be over 9000!!!
*True* *King* *of* *the* *Jungle*
I adore tigers but GO BAMBI GO!!
I think at night tigers are pretty successful.....tigers have good night time vision, while deers gave poor vision ....its pretty easy get close and catch one....
01:58 01:59...that muscle movement, the hesitation.
Well gee thanks for the spoilers in title.
Kuolonen right?!
An excellent point!
Lmao ikr
The anticipation on this one is on point... 👍Camera shot at 1:40 is something out of a horror movie.. 😲
The background music takes it to the next level.
His voice is so good.
It is 2018 and we're still using those big ass collars
He ran for his deer life.
The title should have been “Tiger fails horribly”
2:40 That deer was out! 😭😭🦌 💨
the deer was lucky he heard footsteps near them" the deer was like oh no someone's hear i better run fast before it catche's me.
02:40 Deer "leave me alone"
Tigress "but I'm hungry"
The tracking device does not interfere with the animal. Tigers are only 40-50% successful when hunting, so what we are watching, is natural and typical. They only eat once or twice per week, because of that. Cheetahs are the most successful (50-60% success). So, Please, donot get carried away by your emotions, guys!
BBC EARTH : großartig, faszinierend !!
Are those loud unsettling squacks necessary as part of the background music?!
Animal have lot of patience....they r not in hurry..
Well I must say that there are too much animals in the jungle and They share watch out duties with each other and expose tiger's presence while in case of lions are none.. that's why they miss more often than catching.. Although in case of Amur tigers The success rate (38%) is quite good than lions (17%)..
Mohammad Zulqarnain I don't see any problem with this tiger hunting at night with its good night vision....its easy
Amur tigers live in less dense enviroment, their higher rate of success is essential for survival as their energy needs are higher thanks to their size and cold weather and there is much fewer opportunities to hunt.
The real king of the jungle
Good videos about nature keep it up great stuff👍👍👍!
Thats how fast I spot my enemies
Poor tiger ☹️, lucky deer 😑
clxwncrxwn yeah but if the tiger got the deer it was the other way round, poor deer, lucky tiger
Ewaja !!! Yup the law of survival
Ewaja !!!
No. Predators suffer more than herbivores. Full support to predatory animals!
Big Gus that doesn't make any sense
Makes perfect sense. There are more herbivores than carnivores, it's logic. Reason being there's always food for herbivores, but for carnivores they have to successfully hunt otherwise they starve. How many times do you think a lion is successful in its hunts? So yeah, full support for carnivores.
Awesome BGM
She's basically a giant cat, down to swishing her tail around when she gets annoyed.
the camera shots are just phenominal
How deer escape it's amazing
nice discovery
Bengal Tiger the animal favorite
Amazing camouflage
That's just Luhan and Sehun playing chasing tag game.
Tigers are great hunters but even they fail sometimes
Most hunts fail in the animal kingdom, even those done by the greatest predators on Earth.
Wah! What a tiger. deer just escape from the tiger but see the tiger eyes and intelligent he knew how to get deer it's just trail.
Ur each and every vedios are awesome
2:18 sounds like someone laughing
Damn Fenton.
please allow the length of the video to be extended
Tigers move like navy seals
Tiger has an ankle monitor on his neck
Can you make another video with steiw griffin’s voice?
Damn that was close😂
Greaat vid...
I swear the birds warned the deer
Anyone remember that show Jackie Chan Adventures? Remember the character Hak Fu(sp)? Doesn't the name of this video remind you of the fighting style where he'd yell out the technique as you performed it? x'D
It's famous tigress callorwali from pench MP India she sets record of producing 30 cubs
Damn that deer fast runnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!
Noooooo I love you tigersssss
It’s almost like the other animals were warning the deer 😅
Darn! Maybe next time.
maybe instinct is disturbed because of the necklace!
Most hunting attempts about 6 out of 10 result in fails for most predators!
screw the collar!
Tiger: I'll get you next time Gadget! Next time! ehehahahehahahehahah
Which documentary is that ?
Don't worry tiger 🐅 maybe next time you will have a chance. It's a nature of wildlife.
Nice
Bhagani looks so hungry
2:13 somebody is laughing his ass off lol
Birds & monkeys always give an alarm call about tiger in the jungle. Preys coexist in the jungle or else they couldn't survive.
The tiger just wagged its tail
2:43
I wonder how much this tracking device thingy around her neck weighs and if its possible that her ability to hunt successfully with this extra weight is the same as if she wouldnt wear it..
RhinOzerOz69 doubt it makes much of a difference
They've been using these trackers for decades. You would think scientists would make something that doesnt harm the animals they are studying and fix anything that they didn't account for?
Even if it isn't heavy. Seems like it would have some type of effect on the animal
It's swinging in the air and i'm pretty sure researchers would take weight into consideration. If it weren't for tracking of certain vulnerable animal populations, those animals would've died off a long time ago.
My saturday night attempts to flirt
Languar, peacock etc alarmed
Deers communicate with his sound
So, the tiger failed to catch him
Eh deer really quick
are avesome
They say Mother Nature rules all, but this deer just proves everyone wrong
Такова жизнь. Ты ешь, но и тебя едят ... .
No cats can go that much close to prey except tiger
How fast tiger can run
how old is that tiger? it looks young
deer be like at 2:33 "in your face"
How did this camera man shoot up so close at difficult angles and not be notice by the tiger?
Can l use this 4 educational video
Okay so those lame ass birds definitely tattled on my boy
Tiger gave up cause car distracted it.
Run forest run!
life is hard for everyone
Little one, it's a simple calculus. This universe is finite, its resources, finite. If life is left unchecked, life will cease to exist. It needs correcting.
the longer it takes to hunt ,weaker she becomes, the weaker she becomes harder it becomes to hunt.
this deadly looop sounds familiar to me.
what's around the tiger's neck
It's not very complicated. The Deer saw this massive orange muscle machine in the open, hunched over, and took off at ludicrous speed. I doubt she was anticipatng the deer to turn in that direction. Even perfect predators make mistakes.
Dumb comment: dears can’t see orange💀
If y’all don’t take that collar off the tiger I stg
Is this in Sumatra or Bengal? Or another tiger?
The birds saved the deer.
It’s the jungle book all over again
Kingston Steele lol
Just add a black panther, a giant snake, a bear, some elephants and Mowgli!
but where are bageera & mougli??
@@evilemperor6426 generally bageera lives on trees in India always in fear of sherkhan & baloo sometimes ends up as a meal when sherkhan is hungry. On rear occasions khan preys on humans too but don't know about Mowgli.
