- This is my piano arrangement of "Memento Mori" from Death Parade.
Last time I've watched this series again and I've forgotten how great it is. Story, characters, plot and music of course - everything is climatic and fully of emotions. Unfortunately, this beautiful soundtrack is not popular and a lot of people don't know it. What a loss! Probably only "Moonlit Night" is recognizable. Of course - it is worth of popularity, because this track hit you by emotions. (If you remember ice skating scene, that you know what I mean). But what with the rest? Whole soundtrack should be popular!
I know, that this video will have small number of views, but I really wanted to play it, so if is at least one person who want to listen this cover - it is enough for me.

Death Parade is one of the best animes in terms of Moral Philosophy. Through a series of parlor games played by the souls of those who died or has departed inside a Pub-like purgatory, this anime reminds its viewers that no matter how much u hide ur lies it will always end up exposed and that one's actions will always bear consequences. It reminds its audience to never be to quick to judge and that there are always evil in the heart of each person. We, as members of society must not judge a person based on what he looks like or what he has done, but on the reasons on why he has done it. The question that checks if a person goes to hell or not is whether or not a person would let his darkness over power his moral light.

@@sudanemamimikiki1527 Whether something is good or bad is pretty relative.
Is it bad to murder a serial killer?
Is it bad to steal to feed hungry children?
A serial killer likely has a loving family, so they would certainly think its bad to murder them.
We also can't always see all of the consequences of an action, so we can only estimate whether an action is a net harm or not.
Since actions don't happen in a vacuum, there really isn't an objective measure of whether an action is inherently good or bad, even if we didn't all have different values and definitions of what is good.
And if you want to go off of law, then you're just deciding that the actions of the gang who extorts you for money are always righteous, and their demands are always correct.
@@sudanemamimikiki1527 If something being illegal makes it bad then people helping slaves prior to the Civil War was bad, resisting British occupation was bad, fighting against segregation was bad, and the list goes on.
The law reflects the will of the gang that extorts everyone, not some objective morality.
@@sudanemamimikiki1527 Slavery was ended through violence and lawlessness, segregation was ended through illegal activities such as sit ins and the like.
Laws are created by the ruling class, they always have been and always will be. If laws reflected the will of the majority cannabis would be legal.
There are also plenty of things the majority agree are despicable which are perfectly legal, like companies who jack up the prices for life saving medication, allowing people to die for a bit more profit.
Legalism is just boot licking, and morality is a matter of personal values.
@@sudanemamimikiki1527 the states leaving was because at the time slavery was legal and other states were allowing property theft to happen (freeing slaves) and not returning the stolen property (people) as their treaties required. Slavery was made illegal after the southern states left the union. Since northern states were violating the interstate compact whether leaving the union was legal or not was decided by the war, since leaving a contract which the other party has violated is arguably legal. Thats getting a bit in the weeds, but its worth noting.
Segregation was ended as a result of the government choosing to end it, but it likely wouldn't have happened without the illegal actions of the freedom riders and other figures who used illegalism to push for it.
Violating unjust laws seems logically just.
@@sudanemamimikiki1527 I can definitely understand wanting to believe that laws reflect morality, but since the dawn of society as a concept plenty of atrocious things have been legal, and plenty of perfectly just things have been illegal. From World War II Germany to modern day Saudi Arabia, there are countless examples of atrocious laws which shock the conscience.
