While the Memphis Grizzlies controlled most of Game 4 in San Francisco, Coach Nick explains how this was all just an illusion, and a matter of time til Steph Curry led his team back to a rousing victory in the closing minutes to take a seemingly insurmountable 3-1 lead.

if the warriors started hot and went cold the grizzlies woulve won without morant. i think this video is misleading if you think this game wasnt a flukey win by the warriors, which, hey, it happens, but is not really that big a knock on the grizzlies. ( just so we ate clear im not saying the warriors couldnt have won decisively, but with the way both teams were playin its hard to state it as anything but a coin flip for either team to win)

Man, such a great analysis! Nailed it on the head! Sometimes shots fall, sometimes they don't... but if you want to know who is "winning" the battle, you have to ignore that aspect, and look at the quality of the shot attempts. Warriors were getting the same open looks they got when they scored 142, albeit at a slower tempo of basketball. The entire game, the one thought that kept recurring was the fact that Klay and Poole hadn't hit a 3, Curry was struggling, and yet they were only down by 4. Just a bad sign for Memphis.

Said this before, but if the Dubs make even 1/3rd of their 1st half 3’s, which is below their average percentage, they’re going into the half up double digits. It’s not like Memphis locked them down defensively for 3 quarters and then took their feet off the gas. The Warriors players just missed wide open good looks. They also had some dumb turnovers. But they did mostly a good job on defense and the score never got out of hand. It’s not like the Grizz ever had a 20+ point lead.
