Both of them work wonders with my hair but I kinda like the smell of Gumash more. Gumash smells fruity like bubble gum, and the smell stays for a few days, also makes your hair so soft :)

Thanks for sharing this video. I have a hair mask but I’m not 100% sure if I should apply on my hair mainly because it is at a healthy state which means I have no split ends, damage, etc. In contrast, I do tend to have oily scalp the minute I touch my hair. My question is: is it ok to apply hair mask if you have oily scalp ? And should you still apply it even if your hair is healthy and therefore it’s no require to do it ?

davines vegetarian miracle mask is the one I use like a conditioner because I have coarse frizzy hair. Also Olaplex is amazing!

Hi Bekah, thank you so much for your knowledge! I have been growing out my hair for about 1.5years now. I still have Old colour half way down. I had wonderful bleach blonde hair but it got ruined in a colouring incident and when I got pregnant it also went dry and brittle. So I cut most of it off (well... my husband did 😳) and now it’s quite healthy but I feel I have a half and half situation of au naturel and old dye (yuck). Are there any hair treatments you would recommend to keep these two colliding worlds content? I heard Olaplex No7 (I think) as an overnight treatment? I really don’t know. Any help is appreciated. Thank you :)
You could use a hair mask and that could help. I have never used Olaplex No. 7 before, but I like their products in general. I'm not sure about using it as an overnight treatment though. The directions say you can pretty much use it anytime. Probably wouldn't hurt to try it out. Hope that helps!

Yes!! I’m a big fan of hair masks!! My favorite mask with protein/moisture is Curl Junkie’s Repair Me. Curlsmith just came out with a bond repair mask that I have on my list to get and try. It has a better price per ounce than Olaplex, and it comes in a much bigger bottle.
Is there a mask that focuses on moisture that you would recommend for fine curly hair?
I havn't heard of curl junkies. Ouidad has some great masks for curly hair. Fine curly hair can be tricky depending how dry the curls are and how oily your scalp gets.

I actually use it as a scalp treatment after every time I wash it and it cured my flaky skin from my scalp by hydrating it.

Since I moved to Florida and live by the beach, my hair has naturally bleached to several shades lighter. I recently started using a leave in hair mask about once a month. When I use it, after rinsing with cool water, I don’t put any other products on my hair.
Afterwards would you condition you hair in the shower or do you just use shampoo and hair mask only? Sorry if I missed it in the video!

I don’t think it’s necessary. If you find your hair can handle it, than there’s no issue. But you might run into oily hair
I have wavy hair and medium lenght, i'm letting my hair grow 1 more year (1 year already went by today :)), should I use hair mask ? I used it today and I bought curly hair mask so now my hair is more wavy/curly but it feels kinda thin when it's wet. Make sure to get small trims so when you’re hair is long it’s not damaged as well. Once your ends are split, there is not getting it back

It depends on how vibrant you want the color. At least 10-20 minutes.

Hi. Does it matter the water temperature I use when washing my hair? I heard from one CZcamsr that rinsing with cold to warm water is better than hot.
I personally don’t feel like it makes that big of difference to constitute being in a cold shower 🥶 if you’re brave, give it a go and see if it helps…
Technically cold water is supposed to help shut down the cuticle, but it’s not going to be a huge difference.
How frequently mask have to be used for male. I started growing my hair from past 4 months. Still not too long. Long enough to cover my eyes and nose and I have applied keratin and mask last week. After 1 week I am going to apply shampoo today. But the mask don't know if its good to apply now or later.
I would say make sure the mask is mostly concentrated at your ends and you could do it twice a month. It will help it grow out strong and healthy

You can use a hair mask immediately. There is no waiting period. Hair masks can be really beneficial for hair with color in it.
I'm using the Garnier ultimate blend plumping hair food watermelon and pomegranate, I'm autistic and I also dye my hair the whole range (shampoo, conditioner and hair mask) are like my autistic smell obsession I adore watermelon so I bought the whole range. I've never used a hair mask before so I'm trying to learn how to use it especially saying my hair is heavily dyed and now bleached, though I've always managed to keep it super healthy with a hair mask. Thank you for explaining it, it really did help as the tub wasn't really good at telling me how to use it properly.

I would recommend investing a little more into the products you put on your hair. Both the shampoo and conditioner and heat protectant. I would also recommend getting a trim to cut off your split ends.

Hey I have been getting into hair care recently, & I have a question for which hair mask(s) to use.
I believe I have oily hair with split ends, but I have one half of my hair bleached & toned while the other half is untouched with no bleach, colors, tones, etc.
Would I use a hair mask for my bleached hair then a different hair mask for the uncolored/unbleached hair?

Great question! Your bleached hair definitely needs a mask. The natural hair might not need as much, so I recommend concentrating the mask on your ends.

Depends on the hair mask. Usually a hydrating one is fine to use more often.

You need hydration and smoothing. Kerastase has one in their discipline line. Pureology’s hydrate superfood mask is awesome too. Bumble has one in their hair dressers invisible oil line that’s great too!
Is using a shower cap as good as sitting under a dryer?
Dryer will open the cuticle more than just a shower cap. But if you didn’t want to use a dryer, a cap is better than nothing

what's the difference between a leave-in conditioner and a mask?
Thanks for asking! A mask is washed out and a leave-in conditioner is not. Also some leave-in conditioners are not applied in the shower while most masks are.

I would suggest a regular conditioner. Apply it to your mid-lengths and ends. And be sure to rinse thoroughly. A leave-in conditioner is mainly for people with hair that is dry, curly, or coarse. Developing oil after three or four days after washing is pretty normal and you may just need to wash your hair again. You can always try a dry shampoo if you want to try and make it longer.

Honestly, it’s hard to help hair stop falling out because of hormones. Which is what is happened after babies. The best thing to do is keep it healthy until your hormones can rebalance after baby.

I have long, fine, thick hair that tangles bad and frizzes. Oily, itchy scalp. Using a mask twice a week has transformed my hair and scalp. I can straighten and style my hair more effectively. Scalp feels great. Hair is much healthier. Ingredients are mayo, olive oil, aloe Vera juice, tea tree oil and orange oil. Applied to damp hair.

@@limaalexander1460 Yes fine strands but a lot of hair. I actually found out though that red heads have some of the thickest strands but the least amount of hair follicles. Mine is red and blonde mixed and I can see that the blonde strands are finer than the red ones.

Don’t use one if you don’t feel like you need one. Damage, dryness, breakage, dullness… signs you might need a mask.

Great question. Dry hair can soak up the mask better. Wet hair distributes the product a little better. Both are good.

Sure. Anyone can… as long as you have hair.
Masks don't give as much slip/detangling as regular conditioners.
The point of a hair mask is to boost the moisture and to repair the hair, not necessarily detangle. One the mask is in, a wide tooth comb can be used to detangle and distribute the product all over your hair. Especially if it’s long.

If you use a mask everyday, you need to use a hydrating one. Masks with protein can be damaging. You can over protein you hair which can cause damage. So if you’re doing one for strengthening, I suggest sticking to one a week.
