it seems like people dont know what average velocity is when he said curry avg. velocity is more than westbrook. speed and velocity are two diffrent things.
velocity is just speed with a designated direction, and is used interchangeably in every day use.
What people are confused with are average velocity and instantaneous velocity
what he is saying is Stephen Curry starts off running faster but after a while of running Russell Westbrook gets faster so Stephen Curry isn't faster he just starts off faster

Velocity and speed by itself are two different things. Steph is quicker than Russ but once they both get out sprinting Russ would win.
