As a Retired Senior Chief, I don't understand why he would make up all that BS, his record was pretty impressive without fouling the waters with that BS! He should be proud of what he did in the Navy instead of making shit up. I have people ask me if I'm a SPEC Warrior due to my lifetime in the gym and I tell them straight up, I'm Knuckle Dragging Navy Senior Chief Aviation Machinist Mate, Jet Mech and I'm Proud of my service without FODDing up with some BS lies!! Keep doing what you're doing Don!!
Thank you for your service. God bless you
Thank you for your service. I was a FTG3 on a destroyer in the late seventies. Why can't people just say what they did and leave it at that?
My man!🫡
Thank you for your service. No matter what your service entailed you should be proud of it.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Wanna know how stressful this crap is for Don? People, Don Shipley is 28 years old.
I thought he was 29. Thanks for the clarification.
And hes already retired

This is hilarious.
In his 50 year career Chuck Norris has never portrayed a SEAL, even Chuck Norris is afraid of getting a phone call from Don Shipley.

My father just turned 100 last Tuesday the 14th. He was a medic in WWII. He wasn't in the battlefields but was at the camps assisting the doctors and ran the medical supply unit. He was shipped to N. Africa in late 42 and in 1943 they shipped him to the Pacific conflict. His health is rapidly declining. Very proud of him for just being a medic. He was in the Army.
Wow that’s amazing. How old are you if your dad is 100? I would love to meet a ww2 vet

Congrats to him for rocking 100!!! What a life! Wish him all the best from Canada!❤

Thanks for outing this guy. I served from 1966 to 1967. As a draftee the army saw fit to put me in a battalion headquarters company. Spent my tour sitting at a desk. Glory Hog
Navy wasn't in Nam in 53. Only Army Green Beret Advisors were there starting in 1955 after the French pulled out of Indochina.
no kidding
His resume is quite impressive. He's a retired chief, and that's not good enough.
As always, much respect to you Mr Shipley for your military service as well as exposing fraudsters for their fake Seal Service in the US Navy.

My sons mom was killed while serving in the U S Army gave up her life while serving are country. And all of us still miss her every day. To see these ppl like this man makes me sick.
Keep doing what you are doing Mr. Don Shipley, keep calling out these fools who steal Valor.
How can you have a whole career in the Navy and not have enough actual stories to pass around without making up BS?
Because most Navy Personnel are either Cooks, Janitors, or Mechanics. That's why so many of the Fakes turn out to have been Navy and why so many that embellish are former Navy. Along with the Air Force, it's the service path most likely to end up with a Mundane Blue Collar Job while serving...but at least Air Force has the benefit of not sharing bunks with other dudes and has a reputation for intelligence.
It's the Nature of that Branch. Army and Marines you are a lot more likely to see combat or at least have what kids would see as a "Cool Job".
@@justinlast2lastharder749Even then the percentage of guys who actually see combat is about 5 % or all services.
@@justinlast2lastharder749 I guess I was in a different Navy than the one you describe.
What you describe bears little resemblance to what I experienced.
There's no rating for janitor for one thing. And the supply department is relatively small compared to engineering and operations.
Perhaps you should have watched different movies to learn stuff.
Yeah, ground troops do face combat more frequently than do sailors. This is a feature not a bug, along with three hots and a cot every day.
Soldiers and Marines make up tales too. But most of the fakes never served at all.
@@janerkenbrack3373 No rating for janitor? Its called BM. LOL.
@@janerkenbrack3373We are talking about people not having enough stories to tell to impress without making them up. Most Navy stories are entertaining/humorous stories rather than "Im a Badass"...unless it is a Seal. It's the nature of the Branch, there is very little beyond Pilot, Officer, and Seal that offers individual achievement making you the badass hero. Its a group effort to do things and most of the tasks are mundane tasks regardless. Meanwhile, to the Average Person, even a normal combat patrol with a minor skirmish sounds "cool" to normies...so Army and Marines are less likely to have to go to the length of embellishing "Special Forces" to tell tales that make them seem badass. "We were on patrol, I had my M4 Kitted out, we heard there was an enemy presence..." Is a compelling individual story even if it ends up "and we encountered nothing, but boy it was a tense atmosphere" type thing. Just think about Vietnam. Troops were in the Jungles fighting Charlie on some on some Full Metal Jacket shit...while Navy like this dude were on support boats and exaggerate that they were in "the Shit" too. Everyone has impersonators and embellishers from actual service members, they just do it in different ways. Army is most likely to lie about confirmed kills. Marines are most likely to say they didn't eat the red crayon again, they didn't pay for companionship, or how it totally wasn't him they saw walking into the adult theater last night...There's different things they lie about is what im saying...
His medals were actually coins from his vending machine days.
He used to sneak up on those vending machines with his finger gun and do a forward roll.
the man did serve in Vietnam.
This guy is so delusional that he believes his own lies
Man, these imposters tell the most amazing stories 😂
should be jail time for impersonating millitary...PHDs in BS!!!
watch again
the guy did plenty of actual stuff he could have bragged about, but he just had to be a SEAL.
Have you thought of trying psilocybin mushrooms?
I love psilocybin mushrooms more than anything but what does that have to do with this video? Haha
Here is the thing, I am sure he has plenty of true old Navy stories but for whatever reason he didn't think they were good enough. I guess.@@larrysnipes7113
I graduated from HT A school in Philly in 1977. No embellishment, no V's, no silver stars but I had a good time on my ships.
Wait, did we just witness Don step up his editing and production on his already incredible videos?
Love it. Keep it up chief.
I would read a book about a chief petty officer who was a Navy diver and did boat service in the Vietnam war. This is just so much more of a shame than when the civilians lie about military service. With a civilian I can almost understand it because they are just essentially cattle with meaningless lives. For example, there was one man who served on a nuclear submarine who felt the need to embellish his career and say he was a SEAL as well. I just can’t understand that. I was a soldier and if ever I meet submariners who are willing to talk about their service (which is rare) I am fascinated by even the most mundane stories.
